It's been what, 2 or 3 years now? 

And Dropbox still has not recovered the old functionality. I *still* can't access my files without having to go to the Finder and manually downloading them (in Dropbox lingo, "making them offline").

So, what gives? This is getting beyond silly...

Yes, I'm on the very latest beta. And yes, I did delete the app and installed a new one, many times actually.

I am relatively new to Dropbox and assumed that it was 'Normal' to have to physically download new Dropbox files😕

What do Dropbox user levels mean?
