Can I retain the original name of the file if it's uploaded through Camera Uploads?
I noticed that the file name for camera uploads will be automatically changed. Original file name: 20240330-164639 When uploaded to dropbox: 2024-03-30 16.46.39. Is there anyway to retain the original naming?

Photos vs Camera Uploads
hi, I have moved a lot of pictures out of Camera Uploads into other folders. Camera Uploads only shows a few photos (that's fine) but many more show under Photos tab. When in Photos- how can I tell what folder a specific photo is in? And, how does Photos work? is it like a permanent list of every photo that used to be in Camera Uploads? Please help me understand. Thanks!

Cannot scroll down in camera uploads (Windows browser)
Anyone else having this issue? When I go to the "camera uploads" folder on the desktop browser interface, if I scroll down one or more screens, then it immediately jumps back to the top of the page. Therefore I cannot scroll down, and cannot access any photos that do not appear on the first page. I'm using chrome Version 132.0.6834.160 (Official Build) (64-bit). I tried clearing my cookies and that did not solve it. I also tried in chrome incognito mode (no cookies) and that did not solve it. Also tried in Firefox version 134.0.2 (64-bit). I am running Windows 11 build 26100.2894

Remove photos from local Android device after adding them to Dropbox via camera uploads.
I wanted to use my dropbox account to be able to backup my files and remove them after a period of time from my phone, so files say older than a couple of months are only available online. And just keep the most recent ones in my android phone. It would be nice also to do this for different folders.

Missing photos
I thought all of my iCloud photos had been moved to my Dropbox folders. Now I realize not all photos transferred. I stupidly removed photos from iCloud and now I cannot retrieve them because it has been more than a month. Any suggestions??

Camera uploads organizing: adding folders in that folder.
I need to know specifically how to organize photos and videos in the CAMERA UPLOAD folder. If for example i create a VIDEO folder in the CAMERA UPLOADS folder while on my DESKTOP PC and then move all movie extensions to it, will that sync so that my ONLINE Dropbox copy of CAMERA UPLOADS looks the same (would both now have a folder called VIDEO containing all the movies)? Second, IF I DO the above, will dropbox then sync those same files back in from my phone (assuming it does not see them as they are in a new folder within CAMERA UPLOADS called VIDEO) or, does it only import into the dropbox CAMERA UPLOAD folder the new photos i take with my phone? Thank you A third possibility is that it is allowing creating of the new folder called VIDEO in to the folder called CAMERA UPLOADS but not actually moving those items. Just showing them in there....

Photographs that are NOT mine in Dropbox - and NOT as a result of using a shared computer!
Hello, I have discovered a folder in my Dropbox entitled 'Camera Uploads' which is full of hundreds of photos and videos that are not mine. The files are dated from August 2012-November 2013 (which by coincidence is likely to be around about the same time that I set up my Dropbox account). I have not had reason to look in the folder before as I thought it was simply a default folder that Dropbox created on signup. At first I thought perhaps the folder had been shared with me accidentally but it turns out it is not a shared folder and Dropbox is telling me that the files were uploaded 'by you' (i.e. me!). Having searched the Dropbox community threads and Google I found someone who had a similar issue and one of the possible reasons given in the thread was that perhaps the user had used a shared computer in the past and left themselves signed into Dropbox and then someone else's phone photos were auto-backed up when they connected. I do not believe this to be the case for me. The reason being is that I looked through all the photos and videos to try to decipher if I knew the owner. I did not. However, one of the photos displayed a gig ticket stub which displayed the surname of the person who bought it - and lo and behold it happens to match my surname. This all seems to point to a scenario where someone with the same name as me was somehow able to sign in to my account and use it to back up their files. Can anyone (at Dropbox or otherwise) explain how this could possibly have happened? This is surely a security issue. The reason I was poking around in the folders is because I was preparing to start using Dropbox for my business needs but this issue has alarmed me and I now have strong doubts about the security of Dropbox, especially for sharing/storing confidential business files. BTW I have now changed my password and I was tempted to delete the folder but I feel kind of bad that I now have someone's personal photos (pics and videos of their kids in the school play etc.). I have tried to get in touch with someone at Dropbox but I currently have the basic free account and my options are limited to a chatbot or this forum (another turnoff - I hate when companies make it impossible to contact them!). Sync issues after renaming the Camera Uploads folder to 'Camera_Uploads'
I changed my folder name of "Camera uploads" to "Camera_Uploads" and chaos ensues. how do i reverse this bs, ive got files syncing and corrupting.

Automatically move files from "camera uploads" to other folders
Hello everyone, I have 4 people in my family that constantly take pictures. I have an iCloud + account so that I can make backups of all our iPhones and iPads. Problem is that it is out of storage space and I don't want to pay for another subscription. Now I know that I am able to use the "Camera Upload" feature. However, all pictures from each device ends up in the folder "Camera Upload". I read that I have to physically go in the the Camera Upload folder and sort out each photo and transfer them to a folder that I create. Is there anyway to or trick to move the files automatically when they are being transfered from the iPhone to DropBox?
