Device iPhone 17 pro max Operating System/Browser (if using the web) iOS 26 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 444.2.2 Question or Issue Moving to a new iPhone and installed dropbox app. However, camera uploads is very buggy. It will upload the photos/videos, but the display will not show any new photos added. New items can be found in camera upload folder, but not in the "Photos" tab on the app as it will not fresh that at all. Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and sometimes get the error message that the camera uploads folder doesn't exist and will be created on next upload. But the folder is there and new images are added.158Views1like6CommentsHow do I stop Dropbox from uploading every single picture on my PC?
I use Dropbox on my computer to backup my work files which include my 3D renders that consist in a png sequence (one image per frame at 30 or 60fps), so I have thousands of png images related to renders but dropbox automatically adds them to the camera uploads in my phone app which is extremely annoying because I need to scroll down thousands of images to see my actual photos... if I delete them it deletes my render backup as well, it does the same thing for textures, which makes my photo roll unusable.197Views0likes8CommentsI need to reset my Camera Uploads and re-upload my photos
Hello, I need to reset the camera upload on my iPhone so that dropbox will sync the entire photo library again. How can I do that? I understand that there's no option to do that myself, since I'm on the basic plan, but Support can do it for me. If a Dropboxer here could open a ticket on my behalf I would be grateful. Thank you ! Hi guys, I am trying to stop Dropbox Desktop from uploading my photos and videos from my desktop. When I go into Preferences > Backups > Camera Uploads, the only two option I get are "upload photos only" or "upload photos and videos". I do not want to upload any photos or videos. There is no option to turn this off. Am i missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris61Views0likes2CommentsIt takes a while for my Android to upload my camera roll
So it looks like dropbox doesn't immediately upload my camera roll. It usually takes several hours but sometimes it never seems to happen. I read the help guides about battery optimization for Android but the settings are way different on my end. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.117Views0likes12CommentsThe Dropbox desktop app no longer automatically syncs new photos from my phone

I have Dropbox (now version 233.4.4938) as an app on macOS Tahoe 26.0.1, but the issue has persisted across many versions. I regularly want to upload new photos from my iPhone SE, now version iOS 18.6.2. When I enable Camera Uploads (under Preferences > Backups), the first time I connect my iPhone any new photos do get uploaded as intended. But on the second and any subsequent connections, an annoying popup appears, stating, Canât import photos from this device. I need to disconnect my phone, turn Camera Uploads off and on again, and reconnect my phone, to get new photos uploaded. But most of the time there are no new photos anyway, I just want to connect my phone. The annoying thing about this popup is that it quite large and remains on top until I click it away, so I cannot just ignore it. Is there a way (that does not cost money) to avoid this while remaining able to upload photos?Solved230Views0likes12CommentsHow can I force Dropbox to re-upload all my phone photos?
Device iPhone 15 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 442.22 Syncing Status "Up to date" Question or Issue I discovered today (when I happened to look in the "Camera uploads" settings) that I can upload Live Photos from my iPhone to Dropbox as Live Photos. Unfortunately, that setting had defaulted to "Still Photo", so all my photos until now have uploaded as stills, even if they're Live Photos on my phone. I've just changed the setting to "Live Photo" and a new Live Photo I just took has successfully uploaded to Dropbox and I can see it and play it on dropbox.com. I would like to reupload all my Live Photos from my iPhone to Dropbox but I can't work out how to force Dropbox to do that (it thinks I've already uploaded those photos and doesn't spot them when scanning). I can't export the Live Photos as a single photo (exporting originals from Mac Photos separates the file into the two separate .heic/.jpg and .mov files; adding those to Dropbox manually just adds them as separate files, which I don't really want). This post (https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001014/how-to-reset-my-camera-uploads-i-tried-everything/629512) from three years ago suggests that dropbox support needs to do something to my account to enable Dropbox to re-upload photos from a phone, is that still the case? And how would I request that, please?114Views0likes4CommentsiPhone camera uploads stopped uploading since April 2025
Device iPhone 16 Pro Operating System/Browser (if using the web) IOS 18.6.2 (latest) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 440.2.2 Syncing Status No status. "Camera Uploads > on" Question or Issue I went to check my iphone photos in dropbox and realised that I've had no further images since 1 April 2025. According to the camera uploads settings I have it toggled "on" and upload come from "camera roll" + "all photos" + including videos "on". The only option I have is: "turn off camera uploads". I have plenty capacity remaining on Dropbox and I am unsure how to restart photos taken since April 2025. Any clues.?101Views0likes4Comments
