https://www.dropbox.com/dash/setup/vc/work Hello dear support, either my English is too bad or it just doesn't work?? I can't even add dropbxo itself at https://www.dropbox.com/dash/setup/vc/work! Always with the message: "Dropbox cannot be linked." No matter whether I try it on the web with Dropbox Dash or install the app on Windows or on MAC, it doesn't work. No matter what WLAN I'm on, no matter what browser, I always get the message "Dropbox cannot be linked". I also can't link OneDrive or Google Drive. My Dropbox account: [removed per the Community's Guidelines] Kind regards, Richard3.1KViews1like15CommentsDropbox Dash chat doesn't work
Using both Chrome and Brave browsers on Mac: When I click "new chat," no matter what I type in, I just keep getting this message: "Sorry, I couldnât find the answer to your question. Iâm either still learning about your content or donât have access to the apps required to find the answer. Try connecting more apps and asking again, or using the search bar to find anything I might have missed." I have connected Dropbox and Google Calendar. It should have access to my apps related to the questions I'm asking. I've even tried starting a chat with "Hello," but it doesn't seem to be able to do anything whatsoever. Is this something I should expect to experience?1.3KViews0likes5CommentsHow to turn off and delete Dash
Help! I downloaded Dropbox Dash on my Mac and started it up. Now I can't get rid of it. Even after quitting Dropbox itself and restarting with Dropbox off, Dash still starts automatically on startup. I don't see a way to quit it or prevent it from starting automatically on startup. I even went to my Dropbox account page and disconnected Dash from Dropbox, but that made no difference. How do I quit Dash, prevent it from starting on restart, and delete the Dash app?Solved3.8KViews0likes9CommentsDropbox Dash indexing/preparation and configuration
I'm experimenting with the Dropbox Dash beta. Its uncomfortably "blackbox" to me. What I'd like to be able to do is see what data sources and folders its currently indexing or preparing with embeddings etc.. I'd also like to be able to be more fine grained in defining what data sources provide input data for Dash. Its too coarse grained to provide a go ahead for an entire Dropbox account. I'd like to be able to say "just these folders". Is the Dropbox Dash team intending to provide these types of "visibility and control" features?1.4KViews0likes5Comments"Dash isn't available for your plan yet."
I'm really keen to try Dropbox Dash, however whenever I try to join the beta, I get the error message "Dash isn't available for your plan yet." This help article has a list of users who can't try Dash. My account doesn't meet any of those criteria, so I should be able to join the beta! Why can't I?? I even created a brand new Basic account and still had the same issue Can anyone help? Thanks!Solved2.6KViews0likes4CommentsDropbox Dash won't start on mac os with "Sorry, it looks like something went wrong"
Hi, i've been using Dropbox Dash (Command E) for years on Mac OS (latest stable version) and after certain update of Dash, I can't start it anymore. I've tried to download and reinstall, even remove all data found in ~/Library, but no luck. It just shows the start screen with red error error message "Sorry, it looks like something went wrong. Reload Dash". Any ideas please how to resolve?992Views0likes5CommentsHow to install Dropbox Dash app, if there really is an app and not just a browser extension?
I've been accepted to try the beta version of Dropbox Dash. When I follow the links to join Dash, it takes me to a page that says: ``` Set up Dash to search your apps and browser history 1 Add the browser extension 2 Connect your apps 3 Install the desktop app ``` This implies that Dash consists of browser extensions and a standalone app. I installed the browser extension in my Vivaldi browser (wish it worked with Firefox), but when I download the app, what I get is **another copy of Dropbox.app**. Does this mean that Dash is integrated into the Dropbox app itself and not some separate app? I don't want to replace my existing Dropbox app with the one I just downloaded, especially since my Mac tells me that the newly downloaded one is older than the installed one. The only documentation I've found about Dash is on [Youtube](https://youtu.be/7Zh6PrC-lGo?si=prP2QLxRxK54bTMh). This video makes it look as if Dash is a browser extension, not a standalone app. Is there a Dropbox Dash app? If so, how do I install it? Thanks for your help. geSolved2.5KViews0likes2CommentsCannot directly open file from DB Dash
I was excited to use DB Dash, and like the fast and thorough search capability BUT the fact that you cannot actually open a file from the Dash window renders this feature unhelpful. When clicking on a file in the Dash results it opens up a browser page with the same list and only there can you actually access the searched for file. This adds an unnecessary step that has caused me to pretty much cease use of Dash. Sigh!3.3KViews0likes11Comments
