I own my business and use Dropbox Business. It's great and more secure than personal, which I have loads of data on. Is there any reason I should have both? I can't think of any. Seems like I should just migrate everything to DB Biz. Am I missing something?2.9KViews0likes6CommentsWhat is the file limit per file on Dropbox file requests in October 2025?
Dropbox Plan Dropbox Professional Device Puget Workstation Ryzen B850 R110-S AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 4.4GHz 12 Core 120W 2x Kingston DDR5-5600 48GB Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 GAMING OC 12GB Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11.) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) None Question or Issue Hello! What is the current, actual file limit PER FILE for Dropbox REQUEST files? I always believed it was 50GB, so I always asked my team to keep their uploads to 50GB per zipped file. However, a team member just uploaded a file that was 67GB, and I was able to download it without issue. If this is a change, I'd like to be aware of the new limit and to inform my team that the 50GB limit (which was always pretty annoying as our files tend to be over 150 GB per wedding), is no longer in place, making our lives easier. The reason I'm asking here is because I can't find any relevant or up to date information online. Everything I'm finding either mentions the 50 GB limit (which seems to have been increased), or doesn't talk about Dropbox Request, only Dropbox uploads in general. Thanks!Solved95Views0likes3CommentsWhere has the Dropbox Essentials plan gone?

I updated my Dropbox subscription through the Apple App Store – from Plus to Pro – because I need more space, but my subscription is not updating. Looking for how to fix this.105Views0likes2CommentsAll files in my Dropbox folder have the reparse attribute with System Extension turned off
I have two Dropbox accounts. Both have the System Extension disabled. However, when syncing on a desktop (Windows in this case), on one account, the Dropbox folder has the reparse attribute, as well as all files. I cannot remove this and should only be set if using the online-only feature. I want all files locally synced. I am syncing all folders and have nearly 1 TB of space left. (No folders are shared, files are taking up space) Now I noticed when I try to set the sync state to offline only, it always goes back to online only, no matter how many times I've set it. The reason this is a problem is I also use Backblaze, which cannot back up these files and folders. This behavior occurs on any machine I sync this account with. I can't remove the reparse attribute either-Windows just tells me access to the cloud file is denied. My other account does not have this problem. All folders and files in this account are offline only and the reparse attribute is not set. I have a ticket open with Dropbox, but honestly, I'm not expecting much from there. Does anyone have a similar experience?Solved415Views0likes7CommentsAllow us to buy more space on the Professional plan (even 10TB).
I’ve been using Dropbox for many years and I love it. Currently, I’m on the Professional plan with 4TB of storage. I’ve now reached a point where I’m running out of space and need to upgrade. I had a long chat with a Dropbox representative (she was friendly and very service minded), and she told me that in order to get more space, I would need to upgrade to a Teams plan, which requires paying for three users — a massive increase in cost. I agreed to do this, but since I already have a Teams plan under a different email, I wasn’t able to proceed. I hope you’ll consider allowing users to upgrade and purchase more storage on the Professional plan in the future. It would be great to have the option to buy, for example, 10TB. What are the exact differences between choosing a folder and sharing the link of that folder to a person who doesnt have Dropbox, or using Dropbox Transfer to send that folder to the same person? Do not suggest me that that person should download Dropbox. He is not allowed to use it in his workplace since they use a different system. I have Dropbox Professional with University of Florida, I am employed there.Solved2.2KViews0likes7CommentsI'm using a Professional plan. Do I have another option to upgrade, other than a Business one?
Hi folks, I'm using Dropbox Professional, with 3TB worth of space that I'm told is almost used up. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't have the option of simply adding another one or more terabytes of space to give me more room. It seems I have no alternative to jump up to a Business account, but I'm a team of just one person and don't want to add more users. Do I have to pay for three users on a Business account even if there's only one active user (me), or can I still fly solo but have all the extra storage such accounts provide>? Hi! I'm getting confused about the Professional vs the Essentials plan. On the Dropbox site it says for either plan that it's more advanced than the other. That couldn't possibly be true? It seems both are priced at 199 USD per year. So which one is actually better and is one fully contained in the other? https://help.dropbox.com/plans/dropbox-professional https://help.dropbox.com/plans/dropbox-essentials Thanks in advance for your feedback. -T.1.7KViews0likes7Comments
