I have followed and successfully created and replied to the Dropbox email address that has been created for me. When I reply/forward to the email, nothing is appearing in 'email attachments' folder. I can upload a file to this area but that's not what I want to do - I want to forward hotels confirmation emails to Dropbox. Any suggestions?Solved996Views0likes4CommentsThe Dropbox desktop application will no longer be supported for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on October 22nd
Congratulations Dropbox! You've just put the nail in the coffin of all W7 users who prefer not to be spied on and constantly used for data scraping! Well done. If the constant scaremonger nagging about running out of space, the constant begging to upgrade, the incessant app updating demands, the constant USB device interrogation upon connection wasn't enough of an incentive to finally ditch Dropbox for good, then the cutting off of users of a still perfectly good and functional, non-spyware infested OS will be the last straw. Thank you Dropbox for giving me the incentive to go to your competitors instead and get out of your ever more bloated crapware ecosystem. Sometimes, people need a little push to get away from what's comfortable and familiar, even though they suspect just how bad that relationship is for them. I thank you Dropbox for giving me this little push. Goodbye.7.8KViews10likes33CommentsCan I get the actual creation date of the file, and not just the upload date?
I am not understanding how I can find out details on when a file was created. For example I have uploaded 714 PDF files today to a Folder PDF_11_10. When I look at the folder ALL the files show a modified date of today. Is there a way to get the actual creation date of each file and NOT just upload date. I have followed the instructions for 'file info' on Metadata but no luck. I would appreciate any solutions. Running on WIN11 with Dropbox PRO. I am looking for an App that will let me backup Dropbox for Business into external server. I found that I can use Synology Drive Client to do back up into my NAS server. But the process is very slow. We do have Back Up through DropBox. But I am looking for additional option to external media. In my case a NAS server. Any suggestions?432Views0likes6CommentsOnce I upload my files with camera uploads, can I delete the local ones?
Once I successfully upload my photos to Dropbox from my Camera Roll on my iPhone and iPad, can I delete those photos - or some of them - from my devices (to free-up space) and if I do, what happens to them? Thanks!Solved295Views0likes4CommentsIs End to End encryption only on Business plans? Can I have a plan like that for 1 user only?
Hi, the end to end encryption is only available on the business plus. Can I create a business plus account as one member team? Or is there any plan where end to end encryption would be available?Solved377Views1like2CommentsBulk update file versions
Hi, can someone help me to understand if Dropbox is suitable for my use case? 1. I need a way of versioning PDF files without changing the download link. I think this is standard functionality in Dropbox, however I have over 1000 price list PDF files in different languages that are updated frequently, and I'm trying to find a way to avoid manually updating each file version. It would be troublesome to update each file version one by one. Is there a way of bulk uploading new file versions from a CSV or something along those lines with the original download link remaining constant? Please let me know if any of this needs clarifying. Many thanks, Chris490Views1like6CommentsUploading software and music on Dropbox, what to be aware of.
Hey everyone I want to use Dropbox to upload some software I purchased, music and etc. This is of course copyrighted material, but is this a problem? Does Dropbox scan your files for this kind of activity, or can you only get banned when someone reports a DMCA? Kind regards Lucas1.1KViews0likes3CommentsDropbox Capture — no “Select All,” or bulk actions other than delete?
Okay, I have a number of existing videos from Capture (fortunately, only 15, considering the below points) and I’d like to start organizing them. Now, you would think: There would be a way to select them all at once. Nope, I have to click the check box on each video. That using the “+ Create collection” button after selecting multiple selected videos would make a new collection containing those videos. Nope. Perhaps instead, a “Move to...” button to put them in an existing collection. Nope. Literally the only thing I can with a selection of multiple videos is to deselect them or delete them. To add insult to injury, if I select “Add to collection” on an individual video, the popup window default view is to have my company's folder open by default, which means that if I need to either close that or scroll to the bottom of the list in order to put it into one of my own collections. That wouldn’t be the end of the world if I only had to do it once for a bulk action, but I have to do it for EVERY video, one at a time. I hope that I’m wrong, and that someone will tell me where the actual functions are hidden. Thanks in advance...1.4KViews0likes2Comments
