So if you're having this problem (like I did) I just wanted to let you know what solved it for me. I started the move and followed instructions here. I had about 77000 files and they copied at a rate of 140 files per hour. I pulled my hair :scream: What caused the problem was Intego Virus Barier, Real time scanning ON. I need to disable syncing in order to save changes in Photoshop.
There seems to be a change in the behavour in file sync. Now Dropbox interupt the saving process of an application (Planimate from InterDynamics). When the software saves it's file, I understand it does this to a temp file with ending .$$$. When the save process is done, and the file is verified, it replaces the orginal file with the new one and change the file ending the the appropriate. This has worked fine with Dropbox for many years. But lately Dropbox interrupt this and "lock" the temp file, making the software fail to save its files. Not very nice. I have to turn off Dropbox every time I do development nowadays. Greetings all, After DB auto-updated to 83.4.152, I noticed that the block-level syncing doesn't seem to be detecting changes anymore for my VeraCrypt container. Before the update, everytime I dismount my VC encrypted container, DB will index the file and compare the deltas at the block-level -- syncing the block-level changes. However, after the 152 update, I've noticed that even with lots of changes in the VC container, after I dismount, DB detects no changes to the encrypted file. I end up having a bunch of conflicts when trying to sync between machines via the "rename the file and rename it back" approach. I was trying to find a way to create a shortcut icon on my androidphone when suddenly dropbox (or Word) asked spontanously that would you like to create a shortcut to this file??? but the question hasn't appeared again and I haven't found a way to do it to other files. This issue affects Adobe Photoshop and the Dropbox backup features on Mac Big Sur. When the Desktop and Documents are selected as Personal backup folders, it seems to mess up the Adobe permissions, so that the Save for Web option in Photoshop doesn't work. Only when you deselect the Desktop and Documents backup options do the permissions reset. Not sure if this is a Dropbox problem or Adobe problem. I'm trying to move the files from my company's Google Drive into Dropbox. However I everything a Google Doc file is encountered (.gsheet or .gdoc) the process of copying files is suddenly aborted with not feedback to which file or even folder caused the problem. Since we have thousands of folders to transfer I'm trying to avoid wasting a weekend weeding out Google Doc files manually. Has anyone encountered this problem too? Is there any trick, tip I can use?
