Thanks for your support D.Solved94KViews1like3CommentsHow to disable Dropbox the pop-up asking me to login to Dropbox on the desktop app?
Recently, I replaced Windows 7 with Windows 10 on my desktop PC. This has worked perfectly so far. My user has a start page with the programs that are important to me and the corresponding link shortcuts, and almost everything works perfectly. Dropbox Basic is one of the many links, but not to the installed program, but to the URL of the corresponding website. The program itself has not been unstalled. When I now select my user in Win 10, my start page appears exactly as it should. All the shortcut icons are there correctly. If I now wait a moment before clicking an icon, a Dropbox window is automatically displayed on the start screen, according to which I should log in to Dropbox. I don't understand how Dropbox can even get on this start page to give me instructions. I simply want this Dropbox popup to stop interfering with my start page. What do I need to do for that?16KViews0likes7CommentsMy Dropbox icon missing from the menu bar, and I can't uninstall the app on my Mac.
Hi community, All of the sudden, the dropbox icon has disappeared from my mac menu bar. It happened a few weeks ago, but I see that everything would synch up by seeing the green check mark appear. But today, some files don't seem to synch up as it shows the little blue circle. So I am not sure what is going on. I've spent some time researching and it seems like uninstalling the app was a step that could help. But every time I try to move the app to trash it shares the following message I am not sure how to close it. I've logged out from the browser. I've removed the app from my sidebar. I tried to move the app to trash and got the same message again. I turned off my computer. Now I really don't know what to do. I have some work file to turn in and I'm stuck. I use my Dropbox account and its files on several computers. I’m giving one of the computers away, but want to wipe it beforehand. Therefore, I want to wipe all Dropbox access from the giveaway computer without affecting the master files themselves or access to them from any of the other computers. Thank you for a safe way to do this. —JohnSolved34KViews3likes5CommentsHow do I completely remove the Dropbox desktop from my Mac ?

Ahoi - I want to unlink/delete DropBox from File Explorer (Windows 11) without changing my account. Your explanation is short, sweet and to the point ... except that I can't follow it as right-clicking on the Dropbox icon only offers 'Dropbox' and 'Unpin from taskbar'. Starting the DropBox app doesn't get me anywhere near 'Security' etc. What am I not doing right? Cheers IvanSolved15KViews0likes7CommentsUnable to uninstall Dropbox on Windows 11
Application Affected (Dropbox) Device (Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Convertible Laptop.) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11.) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Error Unable to de-install Dropbox. Ensured that 3 Dropbox services have stopped. Tried to de-DropboxE64.88.0.dllinstall manually. Didn't work. In safe mode, deleted all Dropbox files except DropboxE64.88.0.dll. Error=action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer. Ran sfc/scannow. No errors. Ran Revo installer. Lots of messages about deleting registry. But DropboxE64.88.0.dll still there & gave same error when I tried to delete. It seems like DropboxE64.88.0.dll likes my PC so much that it doesn't want to leave!!!78Views0likes7CommentsDropbox desktop app is causing system crash after a reinstall
Hi all, We recently uninstalled Dropbox and then reinstalled it. It started syncing and ran for about 36 hours before system completely crashed — the BIOS screen came up and there was nothing we could do. Took it to a computer tech to get it running again. We tried reinstalling Dropbox again, but the same thing happened — it crashes, and we still can’t figure out what’s causing it. Could it be a particular file inside Dropbox that’s triggering this? It used to work perfectly fine before, so this is really puzzling. Has anyone else experienced something similar or found a fix? Thanks in advance!Solved187Views0likes7CommentsUnable to uninstall the desktop app on Windows 11
Application Affected Dropbox Windows 11 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (235.4.5905, assuming the installed apps screen is correct) Question or Issue Hello, I've been trying since last night to uninstall the app for Windows 11. It'll make it about 3/4 of the way through the uninstallation process and stops there. Based on some digging I did online, this seems to be a common thing. I followed all the steps here and it did not resolve the issue for me. (The only folder I could not delete was the one in %PROGRAMFILES(x86)%, it said something was in use somewhere.. no idea where as I cannot currently open the app at all which is what lead to me trying to uninstall in the first place. Any help would be appreciated. This is very frustrating.80Views0likes3Comments
