Please add zero knowledge encryption on Dropbox.
I find that many Cloud services offer encryption during transfer to the service and encryption at the destination. Dropbox does this too. Unfortunately, the keys used at the destination are available to Dropbox. What would make Dropbox unique is if it would offer Zero Knowledge encryption at the client. That way all files are encrypted at the client with the customer retaining the keys. Why is this important? There can be bugs during transfer even if encryption is used (remember the famous OOPS with caches on internet servers offering up unencrypted data?). Also, the government can force Dropbox to deliver user data (or it may be compromised by hackers). Dropbox with Zero Knowledge Encryption would be a market leading solution that would drive a great preference over OneDrive, Google Drive and others. It would be the only way I would be comfortable putting my files on the cloud.

Add .dropboxignore directory to exclude folders without using selective sync
Please please please can you add a feature that allows folders to be excluded from the Dropbox account (on windows and mac). For sure I'm not the first person to request this, but I'm yet to find a good explanation of why it's not there. A quick google search reveals loads of people also looking for the same feature. I really like the workflow I have with dropbox, but it's getting to the point where I might switch providers in order to allow better selective sync. I've seen hackish solutions using selective sync, but it would be great if this could be done in one of the following ways: - global pattern matching eg "node_modules" - a marker file in the directory like .dropboxignore - a simple right click context menu "Ignore this folder" Other than that, keep up the good work. Apple Silicon (M1) Desktop Sync Compatibility
Please can you upgrade the Dropbox app so that it works natively on Apple Silicon Macs (M1) without Rosetta. Rosetta is not an option as it annihilates the battery. Why is my Dropbox upload speed so slow?
Hello guys, does anyone facing problem with slow uploading to Dropbox? I'm using 1Gbps connection uploading speed max around 3Mb/s, compared with Google Drive with my connection up to 80Mb/s. Already tried upload via Dropbox web, Dropbox Apps, Cyberduck, Zoom Uploader and all speed still same. Transferring 16TB data from Google Drive using Multcloud also average speed around 3Mb/s. Dropbox really capped limit or what? Seriously in 2018 with that speed?

Here's the message that I get: Couldn't start Dropbox. This is usually because of permission error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error.

How does one remove the Dropbox link from the Navigation Pane om Windows 10?
I don't notice it on Win8.1, but I have already hacked out a bunch of stuff in the registry on Win8.1. I have the Dropbox folder conveniently located in the root of a second hard drive, I don't need the link cluttering up the Navigation Pane, or the Desktop for that matter.

Does Dropbox take up hard drive space on my computer?
Why does Dropbox store all of its files in my "User" folder on my hard drive? The whole point of using Dropbox was to keep my hard drive free of all the files. I'm now out of disk space due to the Dropbox files.

The alias “xyz” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.
Hello all, In creating an alias for a folder, I learned from a coworker that it was not opening as it should. It opens for me, but not for her. I am doing this on the desktop side. I dont' know if there is a fix for this, and whether or not its because of the recent Dropbox upgrade. My computer is on the new system, no one else is. I feel like this is related to that. Is this the case? Will it go away if everyone upgrades? Thanks, T

Bring back the green 'synced' checkmark in the system tray.
In my Windows system tray (next to the clock), Dropbox used to show that it was fully synced by showing a green check-mark over the Dropbox icon. This was really helpfull. If Dropbox was offline, it would show no overlay icon. Recently (and according to Dropbox itsself) this has changed, the Dropbox icon now shows no overlay if it is fully synced, but to me, i constantly think my Dropbox is offline, instead of 'fully synced'. So the idea is: please bring back the green 'fully synced' checkmark. Or -at least- make it an option to show it. Please upvote this idea if you agree
