6 TopicsHow can I remove myself from the Beta program?
the opt out option in the settings does not work I need somebody on the dropbox side to turn it off!!!!!!!!!!! I have installed the stable version a million times and it keeps updating to the beta. so TURN IT OFF ON YOUR END!!!!!!!!35Views0likes2CommentsIs beta build 212.3.5724 the latest?
Just as the program flashes automatically after installation and reinstalls, if you mouse over the icon, it is versioned up to 213.3.4480, which seems to be why the program continues to shut down. Is there a way to force it to go up to 213.3.4480?? And Windows 10 version was recently 21H, but there was no solution, so I updated 4 computers to 22H2, should I reject Windows auto update when this happens?88Views0likes2CommentsDropbox folder moved and renamed after team downgrade - it doesn't sync most of my files now
Hello, I upgraded to a Dropbox business trial from Dropbox Plus, and then downgraded. After downgrading, my dropbox folder was moved and renamed. It used to be "Dropbox", but after the downgrade my files were in "[My Name] Dropbox (Old)" (moved elsewhere on my C drive), with a new folder appearing called "Dropbox (1)" located where "Dropbox" used to be. However, "Dropbox (1)" is not simply a copy of "[My Name] Dropbox (Old)", it is out of date by a few days and has size of about 30GB locally relative to 700+ GB in "[My Name] Dropbox (Old)". The only folder which is synced is "Dropbox (1)". I have been unable to sync the folder "[My Name] Dropbox (Old)". I would like to revert back to how my dropbox was as of 1 week ago before the upgrade/downgrade, so that I can sync the folder with my current files in it. I have not been able to get it resolved with Dropbox Support - the general advice was to wait to hear from an 'advanced specialist', who did get back but with a solution that does not apply in my case. However, it was also mentioned this renaming of folders when downgrading is a known issue dropbox is working to resolve. So, I mustn't be the only person having the problem? Any suggestions much appreciated. All my files are backed up to dropbox, including my dissertation which I need to submit very soon so I'm pretty desperate for help. The option I thought of was to create a new dropbox account and back up my local files there, but dropbox support was adamant that doing so would cause further problems. So, I am really stuck... Thank you!1.2KViews0likes7CommentsAccount Downgraded and can't make files online-only
I keep getting a message every 15 seconds telling me: "Acount downgraded. Files can no longer be made online-only". All of my desktop icons flash periodically, too, as if they are resetting, and so does my cursor and toolbar icons. I have access to Dropbox (regular account) on all devices, but on my notebook computer, this series of problems shows. I can't even see the Dropbox icon periodically from the taskbar. I'm using the most up to date version on all devices (Windows), 165.4.4300, but on the offending laptop when the Dropbox icon shows, it says Starting.... and doesn't load.1.6KViews0likes11Comments
