Issues with sending a large quantity of files from a computer to a Dropbox folder with Handy backup
We are having issues with sending a large quantity of file from our computer to a dropbox folder. It works for the first 50 MB, then 1 file is skipped and the other files are send without any issues We are using Handy backup 8.5 We have a professional dropbox account with no storage issues STATUS:>08:54:04 Calculating data size... STATUS:>08:54:04 About to copy 69 files with approximate total size of 69.65 GB STATUS:>08:54:04 Processing root directory "__BACKUP"... ERROR:> 12:56:08 Dropbox: uploading file failed, status code 401 WARNING:>12:56:08 The error is ignored. It looks like it’s a security / bearer issue on having the connection open to long. After the error it looks like handy backup is connecting again, but skips the previous file. Is this a question about the HandyBackup's operation or about Dropbox's security/connection settings? User unable to access Dropbox files when using InDesign.
Question or Issue We are experiencing a problem where a user is unable to access a Dropbox file through Adobe InDesign. The project folder contains two directories — one with the content files and another with the InCopy file. Dropbox shows that all data is fully synced. However, when the user attempts to open the content folder file directly from Dropbox in Adobe InDesign, the image frame loads but the linked text content does not, and an error message appears This issue does not occur when the files are downloaded locally. in that case, everything opens correctly. We have already verified that the files are synced and that the user has the necessary permissions. Could you please confirm whether this is a Dropbox-related issue and advise on how to resolve it?
Can't add Dropbox as a place on a Microsoft Office app on Android tablet
Microsoft wont add Dropbox as a place I use dropbox on Desktop and Apple devices with a different account. It works fine with excel to save documents. For the last 6 months my android devices have worked great as well. However, recently, when trying to save an edited excel document that I’ve opened with dropbox on my android device, it does not give me the option to save the document to Dropbox folders once I’ve edited and click “save as”. After clicking “add a place” then Dropbox, and then signing in, it loads and takes me back to excel, yet it still doesn’t show up. No error message, just isn’t an option. Click add a place again, and can click dropbox as an option again, sign in, ect. It’s an endless loop. I have tried uninstalling both apps, disconnecting Microsoft and excel from the dropbox’s connected apps, other troubleshooting. nothing working so far. If you know a solution, please advise. thanks!
Dropbox sync problem with Setlist app. Can't connect with Dropbox.
I am using an app called SetList on my IPad Pro. Its used for uploading songs charts. It uses Dropbox to upload from. Recently when I try to connect to Dropbox to upload a file, the Dropbox login page opens. I can enter my username. Its says welcome back and after I enter my password. it just spins the status square. I am running 13.1.3 on the Ipad. The Setlist app has not been updated in years. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Is the Dropbox and Zoom integration down?
Integration Affected Zoom + Dropbox Device ALL - Macbook Pro M2, iPhone 15 ProMax Operating System/Browser (if using the web) macOs Tahoe 26 Beta 26.2 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Browser + iPhone App Question or Issue We have used the Zoom + Dropbox integration to automatically copy recorded Zoom Meetings to Dropbox for several years now but have not had a new recording transfer since November 5, 2025 despite having many new Zoom recordings saved to the cloud. We have removed the Dropbox App for Zoom, reinstalled the Zoom App, and made sure the box was checked to "Copy Zoom cloud recordings to Dropbox" and selected the box to UPDATE. The integration is still not working. I have seen several posts from other Dropbox users with the same issue but have not seen an OFFICIAL statement from Dropbox acknowledging that this is a KNOWN ISSUE. Hi, We rely on Dropbox for making important business files available to remote colleagues. However, we also use Veritas Backup Exec to take daily copies of our entire network including Dropbox files and, up to now, it has worked perfectly, including our Dropbox files on disk. Having recently installed Windows Server 2025 (for running our network and BackupExec 2025) and with Windows 11 on all workstations, we find that attaching to our physical (Business) Dropbox files on the master hard drive causes the BackupExec backup to fail with the message: "Dropbox was not found or could not be accessed"; Completed Status: Failed Final Error: 0xe0008488 - Access is denied Final error category: Security Errors. This is despite all Dropbox folders & files being visible during backup selection. All network permissions are correct and verified and work perfectly for folders alongside the Dropbox folder. Please can somebody tell me what is different about the Dropbox folders on disk and how to fix this? Many thanks. Stephen
