API file size limit

Please remove the API file size limit or at least increase it, we use US Synology and it cannot download files larger than 350GB, and very often there are video files of 600-800GB or even more than 1TB

  • Hi OlegN,

Thank you for taking the time to request an enhancement to increase the maximum file size for API uploads. We’re happy to share that our engineering team has implemented this improvement.

The maximum file size limit for API uploads for an upload session has been increased from 350 GiB to 2 TiB. This now reflected in our documentation.

We hope this update helps better support your workflows and enables you to work more efficiently with larger files. We truly appreciate your feedback and your continued use of Dropbox — it plays an important role in helping us improve our platform.

Please let us know if you have any questions or additional feedback.

Thanks for the feedback! I can't make any promises myself as to if or when this might be done, but I've sent this along to the team.
