Dropbox integration similar to Microsoft Office
Is there a plan to support a public API for an integration similar to the one you recently rolled out with Microsoft Office?
We are developing an XML visual editor and we would like to offer our users the possibility to edit the documents right from the Dropbox interface. We have a similar integration with Google Drive and for that one we can hook into the "Open With" menu, or even have the user set our application as a default one for certain extensions like .xml, .dita, etc.

This isn't something we're ready to open up to other partners right now, but we're tracking this as a feature request.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread to let you know about a new feature called "Extensions" you may be interested in. It's a way for third party web applications to register certain file type extensions so that users of the app can easily open files of that type in the app from the Dropbox web site.
