ability to report / list the folder structure's across our shared dropbox environment is sadly missing, it will take someone days to manually document our current shared structure - any plans to get this in place would be hugely relevant to companies adopting dropbox across their teams

Thanks for the feedback! I don't have an update on this feature request, but I'll be sure to add your message to it.
Just to be clear though, while the Dropbox API doesn't offer a way to filter to folders on the server, but you can still programmatically list everything and apply that filtering client-side. To do so, you would use /2/files/list_folder[/continue] with recursive=true, and filter down to folder entries only:
