Is there any way for app to have read-only permission on all dropbox files?
Hey guys, I want to develop app for embedding dropbox file previews into web pages, however it looks like my app will need 'Full Dropbox' file type permission which I don't really need.
I was wondering whenever there is (even undocumented) way to have app with read-only permission to dropbox files.
The closest analogy would be read only scope on google drive api (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly onto https://developers.google.com/drive/web/scopes))

No, the permissions are documented here, and we don't have a read-only permission.

I just wanted to follow up on this to let you know that we've released "scopes" functionality on the Dropbox API, which you can use to configure an app or access token to only a limited set of functionality, such as the ability to read but not write files.
