PDF files open as read only on Acrobat Reader (on Android)
I haven't had any problem editing PDF files on my Android tablet until now. I simply opened dropbox, and opened the PDF in Adobe Acrobat from dropbox.
Lately, when I open a PDF in Adobe Acrobat from dropbox, I get an error message telling me I can only open the file read-only. This applies to all my files.
When I open a PDF directly from Adobe Acrobat, I don't have this problem.
I suspect this is related to a recent update of either app.

I was able to use an app Xodo and it seems to work just fine for me. I will use this for the time being until this bug gets worked out.

I am receiving the error message on my PDF files when I try to open with Adobe "This File will be Opened as View Only" and then I cannot edit and save. Is this an Adobe update issue or Dropbox or user? Please advise asap. Thank you

If this isn’t what you’re referring to, please let me know more info! - Juliandel8 years agoHelpful | Level 5I am having the same problem. This problem alone is enough for me to try to convince my company that we no longer need Dropbox.

Have you managed to solve this problem, we use dropbox and adobe for our work tablets, dropbox have come back to us saying it's not a problem their end but something to do with Adobe, this has been happening for at least a month and we have no idea how to solve the issue, so any ideas would be a big help.

We have other options as cloud services, so I will be looking at the competition if this is not solved.
