I can't edit my Paper docs on the Android app after the migration
After the last changing on the Dropbox paper App I can no more continue to work with my files on the phone . I want to migrate the files to an other App . When I open them in the Dropbox folder of migrated files it's impossible to open them . They say you can open the files only from a computer . I need to use the files on android. Is that a possibility to convert them on MD or txt or word files? I feel it's not fair enough to block the files .
Make Dropbox the destination for downloads on my phone
Is there a way to make Dropbox the destination for when I download things on my phone? Right now they automatically go to the Google Drive, and my only other option is the Microsoft OneDrive. Right now I have to download something, find it on my phone, and then share it to my Dropbox, which is not as convenient as if I could just make the correct Dropbox folder the direct destination for a download. (I have an Android Samsung Ultra 20 FE.)
Is there software to stream songs from a specific folder (and subfolders) in the Dropbox mobile app?
I have quite a music collection saved on Dropbox in terms of files. Used to sync all offline to my phone but the library got too big to import all to my phones storage, ran out REAL quick. Is there a third party app with some library display functions showing the library of files I have in some specific dropbox folder (+subfolders) that I can stream from on the go, assuming I have some data connection ofc. Simpely put; dropbox contains files (that will not expanded anytime soon) third party app reads those files and indexes them accordingly playing from third party app streams the song on device I'm aware of latency issues or lack of offline access but that's not a requirement. Greetings to the Community, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with the Microsoft Word app on my Android tablet in conjunction with Dropbox. Previously, I was able to seamlessly save my Word documents to my Dropbox account by selecting "Save As" and choosing the Dropbox folder. However, for the past month, this process has ceased to function. Despite diligently following the same steps as before, my saved documents are no longer appearing in the Dropbox app, Dropbox Web, or my Dropbox desktop application on my laptop. Essentially, my work is not being uploaded to Dropbox. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Your expertise in this area would be greatly appreciated. I'm having issues editing and opening Excel files
Hello, I have a business account to share with other Co Workers and we save a lot of Excel Sheets. Some have multiple pages to them and talk to external links. Up until recently has worked perfect for us. As of lately a few issues have developed. 1) If you are in a file that has several excel files and you open one, you have a tuff time opening another excel file from with in the same parent file. Takes a long time to open if it opens at all. Sometimes you have to close the primary file then your additional file will open. 2) Used to save and close a file and the icon would be the Excel icon, Now when it closes it will show a page within the file as the icon. 3) Used to be able to edit an excel file in Android phones. Now with the Samsung S24 you play a never ending game of logging into Dropbox its self and will not let you edit and save like before. Pushes to One Drive. I have checked the obvious things
Cannot use excel files offline when saved for offline use
I am experience an issue where dropbox tells me I must be connected to internet to open excel files in the dropbox app on my android phone, which I have "made available offline" for this exact purpose... Dropbox keeps sending me back automated replys to my issue telling me to save the file for offline use. I have. I need to be able to edit data offline, or these features are useless to me and I might as well use the free google drive. I have paid for Microsoft Office Business 365 so this should work from what I have read. I have a dropbox business account. Cannot get a single human being to talk to from Dropbox. I cant believe a company can be run like this and get away with it.
