I have quite a music collection saved on Dropbox in terms of files. Used to sync all offline to my phone but the library got too big to import all to my phones storage, ran out REAL quick. Is there a third party app with some library display functions showing the library of files I have in some specific dropbox folder (+subfolders) that I can stream from on the go, assuming I have some data connection ofc. Simpely put; dropbox contains files (that will not expanded anytime soon) third party app reads those files and indexes them accordingly playing from third party app streams the song on device I'm aware of latency issues or lack of offline access but that's not a requirement. Thanks in advance! Feel feel to ask questions if clarity is required.17Views0likes1CommentI'm seeing a weird exclamation mark next to Dropbox on Xmind on my iPad.
Hello, My Dropbox app on iPad is not syncing with my Windows 11 desktop. For example, when I open a mind mapping software that I use (Xmind) and try to open a mind map that I saved in Dropbox desktop: beside the Dropbox icon, there is a circle formed by two arrows with an exclamation point inside of the circle. I cannot find any information in Dropbox support files on this specific icon. I am guessing it is indicating some sort of sync issue. I would appreciate your instruction and help for this Dropbox newbie. Thanks much! DaveSolved59Views0likes14CommentsMy signatures saved on my iPad are not appearing on Dropbox.com and on Android
I saved two signatures on iPad and these are not appearing on my other devices. Are saved signatures supported to sync between devices or I have to create signatures in every device I want to use to sign my PDF documents?195Views0likes9CommentsUnable to open Excel files on Android Dropbox mobile app - Office login loop
Hi, I have a free dropbox account and have used it for years to store a few basic excel spreadsheets that I use daily. I have a paid Microsoft 365 account that I use on my android phone and lenovo laptop. For some reason the last few days, I am unable to open my dropbox excel spreadsheets on my phone. When I try to open the spreadsheet I get a log in page saying "Log in or sign up to Dropbox to link with Microsoft Office Integration". I log in using my dropbox user and pw and it just sends me to my onedrive. I have tried deleting the dropbox and 365 apps on my phone and re installing and logging in. I have tried to open the dropbox files by going into excel first and then trying to open the dropbox spreadsheet. Just always sends me to the log in page. It all works fine on my laptop, and after saving, my dropbox android app shows the newly updated spreadsheet. Dont know what has happened. Please help.7.2KViews2likes29CommentsMoleskine Smart Notizbuch Dropbox Connected but getting an error
Good evening, I bought a "Moleskine Smart Notizbuch" because the communication with Dropbox was promoted as a functionality. Unfortunately, I am unable to connect the necessary APP “PAGE CAMERA” with the DROPBOX APP. The error message “Error loading APP info” from Dropbox APP appears on all iOS devices - "An unknown error has occurred." Is there a solution? Without the connection it will be only a very expensive paper ... Thx and kind regards VF183Views0likes4CommentsMy Word files are not getting saved to Dropbox on Android
Greetings to the Community, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with the Microsoft Word app on my Android tablet in conjunction with Dropbox. Previously, I was able to seamlessly save my Word documents to my Dropbox account by selecting "Save As" and choosing the Dropbox folder. However, for the past month, this process has ceased to function. Despite diligently following the same steps as before, my saved documents are no longer appearing in the Dropbox app, Dropbox Web, or my Dropbox desktop application on my laptop. Essentially, my work is not being uploaded to Dropbox. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Your expertise in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Joseph2KViews0likes18Comments"Nothing in folder" error when trying to attach Dropbox files to Outlook on iPhone
I have a very similar issue on an iPhone 15 trying to attach documents from dropbox to Outlook mobile email. Everything worked fine up until about four months ago when suddenly attaching to dropbox started giving the error “Nothing in folder, Looks empty over here“. Deleting the Outlook mobile app and reinstalling it and repeating the same for Dropbox and reconnecting the two again makes no difference, resetting Dropbox on Outlook mobile app also makes no difference. I checked the Files app on the device and dropbox shows up and is active and all the folders can be seen there, but outlook Mobile appears to be incapable of reading any of them. I use Outlook mobile with dropbox files constantly, or did it up until this issue happened. This only appears to happen on iPhone, as the same application combination appears to work fine on iPad. I would greatly appreciate your assistance.🙏813Views0likes3CommentsAdd a sync button to the Dropbox Passwords app
Hi I'm using the app on Android and very pleased so far Today I needed a password that I had added on my desktop, but it was not available in the app. There is no button to start a sync, or swipe to refresh. My suggestion is to add this functionality. Sincerely203Views0likes3CommentsQuestion about file name date_time format for Google Pixel/Google Backup/Google Photos/Dropbox users
Hello: For the first time tonight I noticed MP4 videos recorded on a Google Pixel 4a, with correct network time, had newer date_time info in the PXL_20240926_hhmmsssss.mp4 file name structure, than the actual capture time. I am pretty sure this happened via the process of backing up to Google Photos, and not the Dropbox upload process. I have to go look at my other file storage to confirm. I record with three Android phones, two of which have no sim cards. The latter two I sometimes transfer from by USB cable. The no-sim-card phones were used for a concert earlier and all files had the exact correct time info. This is critical to identify them in sequence and to find different views of same real-time events. So this is probably a Google Backup question for others you have hardware or experience similar to mine. Renaming files with later date & time seems to have no benefit, so I'm trying to figure out how to prevent/avoid this. Renaming with different date_time file names based on whatever random order they were backed up in, is destructive. That may even explain some lost files. I'm asking in this community because it's the end use where the problem was discovered. I am certain if I ask in Google, I will get utterly worthless & irrelevant AI garbage in response. Oops, I mean AoI...Absense of Intelligence. Thanks for reading and your thoughts. MurraySolved1.5KViews0likes2Comments
