Application Affected Apps that use Dropbox like Solid Explorer, Wardencam Device Multiple different Android versions/devices Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Multiple different Android versions Logging into Dropbox through another program (e.g., Solid Explorer, Warden cam, etc.) does not work. Dropbox itself is working, but problems is not that. For example, in the case of Solid Explorer, permission is requested but login fails. Wardencam just gets stuck on login (when selecting Dropbox as the destination). It must be a problem with Dropbox? This is what I've seen in Finland/Europe. I've also tried different, completely independent internet connections/operators. The logged-in app may work*, but if you shut down the aforementioned app, you will no longer be able to log in. * Edit. It seems that there is no access to the Dropbox, so this not really help.Solved115Views1like8CommentsiOS Files app favorites folder disappear
On both my iPad and my iPhone, when I mark a folder from Dropbox or any other cloud service as a âFavoriteâ, it shows up in my favorite list in the Files app, but if I switch apps or close the files app, when I reopen it, the folder disappears from the favorites list.26KViews7likes130CommentsExcel keeps opening an old version of a file on Samsung tablet
Hi all. I use a tablet (Samsung) to open excel 'quote sheets' that are stored on dropbox. I always open the same file then use the 'save as' to save it under the customer's name. The problem is when there has been a slight alteration to the original file, my tablet seems to want to open the version before! The only way I can stop it doing this is to call the 'quote sheets' something slightly different ('quote sheet 1'). I do go onto drop box and have that file available offline and when the 'quote sheet' has been altered it does update itself so drop box knows that there is a newer version but as soon as I open it with excel the old version pops up again! Anybody had this issue? I have put this question on the Microsoft website and they said it was a dropbox problem! (Passing the buck comes to mind!) https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_excel-mso_other-mso_o365b/excel-keep-opening-an-old-version-of-a-file/721c23a8-b672-4a3d-93ca-152ab6475cc1 Thanks in advance ;-) JoeSolved49KViews1like7CommentsFiles/folders added from another device failed to appear in the Files app on my iPad
native files.app integration is still downright dangerous. When files/folders added to Dropbox from another device failed to appear on my iPad, I tried numerous remedies (none of which worked) culminatinig in reinstalling the Dropbox app and then clearing the cache under "Files.app settings". Clearing the cache resulted in the more recently added folders and their contents being deleted from my Dropbox, even though they were uploaded from a different device. The integration evidently concluded that, since they weren't on my iPad, they didn't belong in the cloud either.37Views0likes1CommentUsing DB to sync Password Vaults
I have a Android phone (ver. 9). I use a password vault that depends on its database file being synchronized between PC desktop and my cell phone. On a previous cell phone, this arrangement worked very well. Now with my new Pixel 7 pro phone, it is not working. I suspect it is because my cell phone version of DropBox is not syncing correctly. I would like the DB to automatically synch every time I open or close the cell phone. But I suspect it is not happening. I don't know how to determine if I am looking at the latest DB contents on my cell phone. I also do not know how to force a synch. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Tom1.1KViews0likes3CommentsDropbox sync problem with Setlist app. Can't connect with Dropbox.
I am using an app called SetList on my IPad Pro. Its used for uploading songs charts. It uses Dropbox to upload from. Recently when I try to connect to Dropbox to upload a file, the Dropbox login page opens. I can enter my username. Its says welcome back and after I enter my password. it just spins the status square. I am running 13.1.3 on the Ipad. The Setlist app has not been updated in years. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.109Views0likes6CommentsBring back the Mailbox app
Even if you don't change anything about it, it'll still be better than any email app/site that's available now in 2025. It was a mistake to kill the app. Make it independent like Protonmail, i.e. not reliant on Gmail. Steve Jobs said you are just a feature. Even in 2025, he is still right. Email is not going anywhere. It's time for Dropbox's solution to it. And trying to kill it was not the solution.167Views2likes3CommentsDropbox not authorizing access properly for third party app.
Application Affected Dropbox web app on phone Device Pixel 7 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 10 when on PC Question or Issue Hello. I'm having a unique issue with Dropbox. I am trying to connect an app called War Organ to my phone. The app uses Dropbox to sync between phone and PC. When I connect war organ to Dropbox on my PC, it works first time, never any issues. However, it refuses to authenticate on my phone. I go into war organ, I click authenticate app, it takes me to my web browser, I have to click allow twice and then it will get stuck infinently laoding and eventually time out and the page will say I have no internet access despite having it. When I go into connected apps after this, it will show that war organ has been connected in drop box with full permissions, however on the app side, it won't have synced with dropbox. I have tried multiple different web browsers (opera, chrome) I have cleared war organs app cache, my browser cache, google plays cache. I have reinstalled the app multiple times. I have disconnected the connected app multiple times. I am really stuck as to what to do. I don't use any other apps to testt if it's a Dropbox or app issue, but I'm assuming it's a Dropbox issue because my PC is fineSolved240Views0likes14CommentsUnable to save PDFs from iOS 26.0.1 to Dropbox (via buttons in Mail or other PDF viewers)
Integration Affected iOS 26.0.1 Mail and other PDF viewers to Dropbox Device iPhone 15 Pro Operating System/Browser (if using the web) iOS 26.0.1 Mail Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 444.2.2 Question or Issue I've recently upgraded to the iOS 26.0.1 version on my Apple phone and I have lost the functionality of the Dropbox PDF sharing. This happens when I have opened a PDF on my phone and try to share to Dropbox (either via a "Save to Dropbox" button or a "Dropbox" logo button). (Screenshot attached). The buttons are visible, yet don't work as they did prior to the update. My workflows now don't work as they used to for 'on the fly' PDF management.344Views0likes6CommentsI'm new to Dropbox, how do I sync data from one tablet to another?
Device Samsung tablets Operating System/Browser (if using the web) android Question or Issue Ive been introduced to Dropbox by an app I use called songbook pro. I use the app on two similar Samsung tablets. Both installations refer to the same account with the same name and password. I need to have an exact copy of the app data in both devices as a standby in case one device fails. I can copy the data from my 'master' tablet to dropbox but I'm not able to restore (the term used by the app) the data into my second device. I'm 82 so please treat me as a child of 10 when describing the solution. Thanks.71Views0likes1Comment
