Hello, for several days I'm experience a syncing error with the Android app. Anything updated from the Android device appears on other connected devices, but not the other way around. Updated files from my home and work computers appear at dropbox.com but not in the Android app. I have restarted my phone several times and removed and reinstalled the Android app. The only way to get files to sync now is to logout and log back in, but I really shouldn't have to do that every time I want to update my to do list from my phone. Please help!Solved2.2KViews0likes34CommentsI've been charged for Plus on iOS and Professional on the Dropbox site
I found out today that I have been paying via apple billing for a Plus ($11.99/month) and dropbox directly for my Professional ($19.99/month) amount for almost two years. The charges are for the same account (I only have one.) My account shows as a Pro account but my apple bill apple continues to come up as a Plus fee monthly. While I pay a direct fee to Spotify for the "pro" upgrade, somehow I'm still paying the for pro features? Cancelled the subscription via apple today and thinking about cancelling my dropbox if this is not resolved. chat was extremely unhelpful on both platforms, both pointing fingers at the other. There is a glitch somewhere in the communications. If you upgrade your account of either platform, the other should be notified and adjust or remove billing accordingly. This looks and feels like consumer fraud.13Views0likes5CommentsIs there a way to autostart Dropbox on my Android device (Galaxy s22)?
Hello! Every time I boot my phone, I have to remember to open Dropbox because I always want it on for various reasons (like downloading photos to my computer automatically when I'm home). I'm sure there must be some way to say, "Every time I boot my Galaxy s22, please open Dropbox" but I can't find steps to do that on youtube or google. Is there a way?23Views0likes2CommentsQuestions about using Dropbox on an iPhone as a new iOS user
Just bought an iPhone after years with Android Phones, rather confused with the way Dropbox works with an iPhone. Appreciate some help and advise. A) On an Android, copying a folder from Dropbox to the Phone is a simple select and copy. Found out that for an iPhone, I must first download all the files in the Dropbox folder. Then only can I copy the folder into the iPhone. 1. Is my understanding correct or have I done/experienced something wrong here? B) When on holiday, I used the phone as a camera for photo taking. On an Android, after a day of photo taking, I will moved all the photos from the folder DCIM (this folder saves all of the photos that is capture using the phone’s camera) into a newly created folder named yyyymmdd in Dropbox. The original photos will then be deleted. 2. How can I do something similar on an iPhone? C. This may not be a Dropbox related question, but in case any iPhone experts come across this post :D I have copied an existing folder from Dropbox to my iPhone (Foler name : Fav_Photos). I will also be adding photos and videos into this folder progressively as times goes by. - On an Android, the gallery app (app name: Aves Gallery) will immediately notice any new images and populate the gallery. - Understand that Photos is the official photos app but none of the images and videos is detected/shown in the Photos app. 3. How should I proceed to enable the Photos app to auto populate with photos and videos from folder Fav_Photos? 4. Should I be using a separate gallery app? Which app? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.34Views0likes3CommentsDo you access your Dropbox content on other apps outside of the Dropbox app? Feedback appreciated!
Hi everyone, My name is Emily, a Product Manager on the Dropbox Mobile app team and I am here because I wanted to reach out to the community to learn about how you access your Dropbox content outside the Dropbox app. We are planning to make some improvements to the way Dropbox integrates with other apps and want to hear your feedback. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started: What apps do you use to access your Dropbox content (outside of Dropbox)? What types of devices do you use them on? (iOS, Android, tablet, etc) How often do you use these apps? (daily, weekly, monthly) What works about this set up? What doesn’t? Is there anything you‘d like to see improved from the Dropbox side? We understand that everyone's experience may differ, so we welcome all types of feedback, positive or negative. We're committed to continuously improving our product so your feedback will help us make it better. Thank you in advance for your time and input. We're excited to hear what you have to say! Dear all, since yesterday evening, the screen of my app is almost on a freeze. When opening the app, it wants to sign out, with the rectangle in motion, elsewise nothing happening. Is this a bug others are encountering, too, and, more importantly, how to remedy it? Better wait for a update, or uninstall/reinstall (which could jeopardize my photo sync to my mac)? Any help appreciated! Many thanks!Solved45Views0likes2CommentsAfter reinstalling Dropbox on iPhone iOS version 18.x, uploads are very slow
Dropbox was taking up 90GB on my iPhone, so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. That cleared the problem. But now it’s taking days to upload videos, where previously they were fast uploads. Internet speed is fast at home. Suggestions?17Views0likes1Comment
