Downgraded my account, what happened to my files?
I'm afraid that since I didn't upgrade my subscription, ALL of my files have been deleted. My dropbox is shows zero files on my computer as well as online however showing that I am over in storage at the same time. Can someone clarify how I get my files back? Am I forced to upgrade or renew my subscription to get them back?

Hey scharvey, sorry to hear you're having trouble with this.
You can check this helpful post by Lusil for what happens when an account is downgraded. Also, can you check if you're signing in to the correct account on the Dropbox website? As not seeing any files on your all files page might indicate that. One other thing you can check is your plan page, where you can see how much storage you're using. What do you see there?I hope this helps! Feel free to get back to me with an update, anytime! - WDCPres2 years agoNew member | Level 2
Our nonprofit organization had a Dropbox account for which we paid a renewal of $119.88 on 2/21/23. We accessed the account last in August. I went into it today and found no files there and the account listed as a basic account. I looked at our business checking and saw no refunds other than a "Cashback EasySavings" refund of $23.98 on 2/24/23. How do I find out what happened to our account and files, and recover the files?

You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.
