Having trouble exporting my Dropbox files to an external drive
I want to export my Dropbox to an external hard drive connected to my PC, all goes well until I get to the API request Authorization where I am presented with a 30+ long password that I cant cut and ...

Can you let us know which exact steps you're following to export your Dropbox files to an external drive?
Are you using a third party app to do so?
Any additional info would be really helpful.

Basically I have a Western Digital plug-in hard drive with its own software allowing the user to import data from Cloud base storage.
If I follow the WD prompts it asks me to authorize dropbox to share data and dropbox, dropbox then provides a very long password which I can copy from Dropbox but not paste into the WD software, so I guess its not a Dropbox issue but a Western Digital issue.

That's what I was going to suggest, to be honest; to reach out to the third party service for further assistance, since this is not an official Dropbox integration.
