How to download an FMPro file without having a numerical suffix added to the filename?
Is there any way to download an FMPro file in Dropbox to my Filemaker Go app without having a numerical suffix added to the filename? I want to be able to view the latest version as it exists in Drop...

11 months agoYou likely won't be able to prevent this. Exporting the same file is going to append a number to the end of the file. I tried clearing the Dropbox cache and even deleting the existing files from the external app, and the file was still saved with the next incremental number (i.e. saved 5 files, 1-5, deleted them all, saved another and it was 6).
If I had to guess, this is an Apple thing. It only happens when I export a file directly to an app's storage. If I use the Save to Files option and select On My iPhone for the location, it will prompt me to replace or keep both files.

I would say that it is not "an Apple thing". I can run iMazing on my iMac and download files to my iPhone and it asks every time if I want to replace the existing file or keep both.
