I can't download a file from Dropbox on my old iPad.
I have a laptop, a Samsung and a desktop, all three can access Dropbox. I recently acquired a somewhat old iPad, purely to run the free Word app and have it access files I've uploaded to Dropbox. But the iPad won't link to Dropbox - in 'add a place', choose Dropbox it attempts to connect and after a few seconds gives up. How can I fix this? I'm on free Dropbox and I know there is a limit of 3 computers to link, but I've logged out of those in Dropbox. 😒
Apps in my iPhone say my Dropbox is empty when I try to attach files
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Can't view offline files on iPad without access to the internet
Something changed over the last couple of months. I have hundreds of JPEG photos of sheet music I made and stored in Dropbox, with each jpeg saved in the Dropbox app on my iPad to be viewable off-line so that I can access them while I perform. After many years of using it this way, very abruptly something changed and my stored offline jpegs and folders are no longer viewable on my iPad if I don’t have Internet access. They all still have the blue icon illuminated indicating they are stored to my app for offline viewing but if the internet goes, everything vanishes if I’m in a remote area without internet or cell service I can no longer access any of the images that are stored in the app for offline use ; this is a brand new issue after using Dropbox to do this for over a decade. is there something I can fix in settings? Or was something changed permanently about the iPad app?
Unable to download files to my phone after adding them to the Dropbox folder on my computer
I have the DropBox on my PC through File Explorer and in the past I would copy MP4/MP3 files to the DropBox folder on my PC. I would then use the VLC app on my iPhone to download the files to my iPhone. Now when I click on the download icon in the VLC app it will no longer download the file. Is there a setting in DropBox that has changed? I now see there is a Vault, but I do not understand why the DropBox folder on my pc to be affected but this change. Curious if you have any suggestions. I have contacted VLC but they are pointing to DropBox as the issue. Kenn

How to download an FMPro file without having a numerical suffix added to the filename?
Is there any way to download an FMPro file in Dropbox to my Filemaker Go app without having a numerical suffix added to the filename? I want to be able to view the latest version as it exists in Dropbox. I want the new version to overwrite the version currently in FM Go.
Playing audio from the mobile app drops out for a second when using AirPods
Hello! I am a musician, I just returned from a studio where I was recording tracks, then received a set of MP3s from my audio engineer. They sound great, except when I play them from into AirPods Pro from the Dropbox app in both my iPhone or iPad, there's a significant hiccup, like a full audio dropout of a half second or second, right near the beginning, like in the first 5 or 10 seconds. The hiccup is not always in exactly the same place, but almost always near the beginning, and almost every time I play ithem back. Note that I cannot recreate this issue on the Mac, or when I play the files out in the open air on the phone/iPad, just through AirPods on phone/iPad. My wife is also able to recreate these hiccups with her phone & AirPods Pro playing the same MP3s. Thoughts/ideas?Saving photos to my iPhone created a new Dropbox album. How can I prevent that?
Previously when I opened a photo in a dropbox file and used "Save image" it would save the photo to the All Photos album on my iphone. Recently the same process created a new album named Dropbox and saved it there. Is there a setting to prevent the creation of the new folder and just have the photo saved to my All Photos album as before? Thanks for any suggestions.
