I used my computer to upload a mp4 file that I recorded, after uploading it to drop box, I wanted to save it to my IPhone X gallery. I can’t really save it, all I see is “Couldn’t save. Sorry, this type of video cannot be saved to this device” I’m really confused, I tried multiple times but it does not work. Oh and I can watch the video normally on the drop box app. I just can’t save it for some reason. What should I do?Solved9KViews0likes6CommentsI'm trying to download .mp4 files to iPhone but get an error "Couldn't save to this device".
I am trying to download an mp4 file to my iPhone and get the error "Couldn't Save, Sorry, this type of video cannot be saved to this device." I have removed the Dropbox app, restarted my phone and re-downloaded the app. No luck. I have also cleared the cash. Still no luck. Google has been no help. I'm sure I am not the only one with this issue...please help 🙂 Thank you!Solved11KViews0likes7CommentsIs there a way to turn off auto-play for audio files in the Dropbox iOS app?
Device (iPhone 14 Pro Max) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (18.6.2) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (450.2.2) Question or Issue We use Dropbox for our choir to store backing tracks and music scores. When we open an audio file, it plays automatically. Is there a way to stop the auto play. We need to use this on our phone for when we sing outdoors or in aged care facilities as we don't have room for a computer. I have tried turning the loop function off, but it is off on all files already. I don't want to have to use a desktop version. I just want the ability to use the app but to be able to turn off auto play in the settings. I can see that someone else had this issue 7 years ago and it looks like it has still not been fixed. Can I please vote for an auto play off button, as an update?36Views0likes1CommentHow can I loop certain video files but not loop others on iOS?
Device iPhone Operating System/Browser (if using the web) iOS 18.7.1 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 446.2.2 Dropbox Plan Plus Question or Issue Hello. I like to loop certain video files but not loop others and have the settings save to that specific file. Is this not possible? I can play a file on loop, but if I change another file to NOT loop, then it changes the file I had set to loop, off. I'm not sure if there's a problem or if this is a limitation of the software?62Views0likes2CommentsCan I view symlinks on the mobile iOS app?
Hi. I've had to move all my files to my local/internal hard drive and use symlinks within dropbox to keep them backed up but now i cant access any of them remotely. The reason for moving them is because it was causing me all sorts of issues when running the files directly from within dropbox / file provider. Does anyone know a way of symlinks being possible to view within the iOS app or website? Thanks93Views0likes3CommentsUnable to open an Excel file from Dropbox using the Microsoft Excel app on iPhone
I’ve been trying many times to open the excel sheet on my Dropbox app but to no avail. I even uninstall the Microsoft excel app as per other forums’ suggestions but the same problem persists. It says “Somthing went wrong and excel sheet can’t open.” I have attached the screenshot for your reference. I only have 1 email attached to 1 Dropbox account. Can someone help me out?Solved154Views0likes8Comments
