Hi, the current solution for Dropbox Password App for iOS is very unsecure as anyone that know the iPhone password can easily access to the passwords wallet. This is the case i.e. when someone has to provide its iPhone to a service center for a repair and he/she has to provide the iPhone password to the technician. Some other Apps have a master password which is different from the iPhone one, so all passwords are securely protected. I think this is a must feature, otherwise the app is very, very unsecure... p.s. this is not the case for the desktop version, which already has a master password.25Views0likes2CommentsI'm having issues renaming scanned files in the iOS Dropbox app
I use Dropbox App on my iPhone a lot for scanning. I scan the file, then select Rename and change to what I want the name to be. Today I scanned a document and clicked on Rename. I had the name in the edit box and several suggestions below that I could select, but there was no keyboard for backspace where I could put in the name I wanted. This just started today. After I scanned the document. I opened DropBox on my Mac and easily changed the file name. Needless to say this is a hassle using two devices to scan then change the name! Any help would be appreciated.261Views0likes3CommentsFeature Request: iOS batch photo capture with auto-upload
Hi Dropbox Team, I’d love to see a feature added to the Dropbox iOS app that allows users to take multiple photos in rapid succession (batch mode) and have them automatically uploaded to a selected folder without needing to manually confirm each upload. This feature would be incredibly useful for: Field workers and inspectors who need to document multiple images quickly. Event photographers capturing fast moments that need instant cloud backup. Document scanning and archiving where multiple images need to be stored in Dropbox immediately. Currently, the Dropbox iOS app requires users to take and upload one photo at a time, which slows down workflows. A batch capture mode with real-time auto-upload would make Dropbox an even better tool for professionals. Please consider adding this feature in a future update! Thanks for your time. Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!119Views0likes13CommentsHow to download an FMPro file without having a numerical suffix added to the filename?
Is there any way to download an FMPro file in Dropbox to my Filemaker Go app without having a numerical suffix added to the filename? I want to be able to view the latest version as it exists in Dropbox. I want the new version to overwrite the version currently in FM Go.51Views0likes15CommentsPlaying audio from the mobile app drops out for a second when using AirPods
Hello! I am a musician, I just returned from a studio where I was recording tracks, then received a set of MP3s from my audio engineer. They sound great, except when I play them from into AirPods Pro from the Dropbox app in both my iPhone or iPad, there's a significant hiccup, like a full audio dropout of a half second or second, right near the beginning, like in the first 5 or 10 seconds. The hiccup is not always in exactly the same place, but almost always near the beginning, and almost every time I play ithem back. Note that I cannot recreate this issue on the Mac, or when I play the files out in the open air on the phone/iPad, just through AirPods on phone/iPad. My wife is also able to recreate these hiccups with her phone & AirPods Pro playing the same MP3s. Thoughts/ideas?22Views0likes4CommentsI have a problem accessing audio files using Transcribe+ on iOS
I used to have no problem accessing audio files saved to my Dropbox through Transcribe+ iOS app. However, lately when I try to view files I see an (!) icon next to the Dropbox icon in Edit bar, and files in the window are greyed out or show download prompts.
Vielen Dank im Voraus und beste Grüße, Thomas130Views0likes4CommentsQuestions about using Dropbox on an iPhone as a new iOS user
Just bought an iPhone after years with Android Phones, rather confused with the way Dropbox works with an iPhone. Appreciate some help and advise. A) On an Android, copying a folder from Dropbox to the Phone is a simple select and copy. Found out that for an iPhone, I must first download all the files in the Dropbox folder. Then only can I copy the folder into the iPhone. 1. Is my understanding correct or have I done/experienced something wrong here? B) When on holiday, I used the phone as a camera for photo taking. On an Android, after a day of photo taking, I will moved all the photos from the folder DCIM (this folder saves all of the photos that is capture using the phone’s camera) into a newly created folder named yyyymmdd in Dropbox. The original photos will then be deleted. 2. How can I do something similar on an iPhone? C. This may not be a Dropbox related question, but in case any iPhone experts come across this post :D I have copied an existing folder from Dropbox to my iPhone (Foler name : Fav_Photos). I will also be adding photos and videos into this folder progressively as times goes by. - On an Android, the gallery app (app name: Aves Gallery) will immediately notice any new images and populate the gallery. - Understand that Photos is the official photos app but none of the images and videos is detected/shown in the Photos app. 3. How should I proceed to enable the Photos app to auto populate with photos and videos from folder Fav_Photos? 4. Should I be using a separate gallery app? Which app? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.41Views0likes3Comments
