At some point over the last few months, Dropbox randomly stopped uploading my photos from my iPhone 13 (iOS17 and now 18). After lots of poor app behaviour, I eventually managed to re-enable it, having manually been uploading files for quite some time. As soon as I pointed it back at the right folder, it started uploading... but with the word "Photo" in front of the filename!! So thanks to this stupidity, I now have hundreds of duplicate photos, called things like "2024-09-18 19.38.54.jpg" and "Photo 18-09-24, 19 38 54.jpg". So not only has it completely renamed it, it's ruined all possibilities to sort by title. As a final slap in the face, it's processed the images to half their size and reduced the quality! So, Dropbox... how do I disable this ridiculous "feature" that some imbecile decided would be good to suddenly implement?Solved161KViews0likes13CommentsâCouldnât save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated. When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: âCouldnât save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. Thereâs not internet connection issue; Iâm connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didnât encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.Solved17KViews3likes119CommentsCannot open Excel files with the Excel app through Dropbox on iPhone
I use the Dropbox app on my iphone. I used to be able to open excel files in excel by using âopen with - excelâ. But now it sends me to a screen saying Microsoft Integration wants permission. I hit the Allow button (the only other option available is âlearn moreâ) and it just takes me back to the list of files in Dropbox. I can never get past that. I used to be able to open them from the Excel app as well, but not now. What has changed and what can I do?Solved15KViews0likes32CommentsUnable to Save mp4 Files to iPhone

Hi, I'm trying to move a folder that contains folders with photos in it from my dropbox to Files App in iPad. Previously it worked wonderfully and i can move them just fine. But, now after i updated to the latest iPad iOS 16.1, i can't move folders from my dropbox to my iPad in the File App. It still works when moving the picture directly though but its a pain to create the folder manually my self. I've tried restarting my iPad, delete my dropbox and re-installing them, and reconnecting them all those stuff but still got those error when moving a folder. Any idea how to fix it? or is it a bug in the iPad iOS 16.1?9KViews1like47CommentsâNo preview availableâ error message, when trying to preview a file on the mobile app
Just today, I started getting this message when opening files that Iâve been able to open in the past, it says âNo preview available. To view this file, open it on your computer. Hello! Every time I export a PDF from Dropbox on iPad and save it straight to the iPad and try to annotate it on iPad, I canât save, it keeps asking for a password. I never set a password⊠the original file never had a password either. Iâm very confusedâŠ6.8KViews0likes7CommentsiPad Files app not showing Dropbox folders and how I managed to solve this.
In working with a new iPad, I discovered that the Files app was not correctly connecting with Dropbox. No Dropbox folders showed up either in the Files app or in any other app with an open feature that would normally have been able to access Dropbox files. Oddly, when I clicked âDropboxâ in the list, there were no folders but I could add a folder and that new folder showed up in Dropbox on other devices (and in the Dropbox app on the iPad)! So there was some connection but not much⊠This is not an issue Iâm experiencing on any of my other Apple devices (Mac or iOS). In talking with Apple support they had me delete the Files app, reboot the iPad, then reinstall âFiles.â I did that, but to no effect. They escalated me to a higher level of support but while I was waiting, I also deleted Dropbox and reinstalled it. That solved the problem! So, if you canât access your Dropbox folders and files in Files or in any of your other iPad apps, just delete and reinstall Dropboxâproblem solved (at least for me, this time!)5.7KViews4likes6Comments
