“Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated.
When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: “Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. There’s not internet connection issue; I’m connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didn’t encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.
Hi everybody,
As many of you have noticed, we implemented a fix in our updated version 362.7
Feel free to reach out if you're still having issues.
Thank you!
Sam

Hi jay h.5! Hope you’re doing great.
Can you clarify when this error occurs exactly? Are you trying to manually upload files to your Dropbox app by clicking on the “Create” button at the bottom of your screen?
I’d also like a screenshot of the error you mention.
Let me know when you’re ready.

No, it happens when I try to share a page from a website. I touch either the Dropbox option or the Save to Files option, and then Dropbox. If, for example, I have a file open in Adobe, I can Share to Dropbox without error. Screenshot below. If that’s not clear, let me know and I’ll send again without this descriptive material.

Thanks for the screenshot, Jay!
If you haven’t tried this already, I’d like you to clear the Dropbox app’s cache, and then reinstall it on your device.
Does that help with the error you’re getting perhaps?

I can’t figure out how to clear the cache. I see the online instructions, but they all tell me to open a Settings icon, but that doesn’t appear when I open Dropbox on either my iPad or iPhone.

Ok. I figured out to Offload Dropbox, and then reinstall it. That accomplished nothing.

Thanks for giving that a try.
Have you also tried tapping Share > scrolling down > tapping "Save to Files" and save to the Dropbox folder within Files? In this case, you’ll also need to make sure that Dropbox has been enabled as a location in your Files app with these steps.

On websites, I don't have a Save to Files, only Save to Dropbox. I disabled and re-enabled that, but it didn't help. This is clearly an iOS update problem. I've been Sharing and Saving to Dropbox for a year on this device. The problem arose after last week's update, and it affects both my iphone and ipad, both of which I updated. Has anyone else reported the problem?
