574 TopicsCan we upload live photos through Camera Uploads?
I can see lots of posts asking for support for Live Photos. I feel quite cheated that I have lost the ability to see these photos. As someone else has also posted, I have little snippets of my mother’s voice and movement that I have lost forever and she has passed away. Dropbox offer a photo sync service which means they need to solve for Live Photos, they have been around since 2015 so it’s not a new function. Please prioritise a solution to upload and then restore Live Photos.840Views2likes6CommentsCan I force refresh a file so that changes can sync on the Android mobile app?
For files in the phone app, if I update a file in my desktop, it takes a while for my smartphone app to update it. It would be nice to have a button for that file to be manually refreshed to the newest version. Thank you!51Views1like3CommentsI want to upload a file via the Android mobile app and it's stuck at "waiting to upload...".
Title says it all. I was clearing the catch every time I wanted to upload a photo and that was working for a while but no longer. I have plenty of space and the file is not that large. Restarted the phone Cleared the catch Cleared the data Uninstalled the app, reinstalled, logged back in. Updated the app and OS Tried on wifi and mobile Nothing works. Any suggestions?13Views0likes1CommentThere's a delay in syncing between my desktop and mobile app
I manage a digital service site and rely on Dropbox daily. Lately, sync delays between desktop and mobile are affecting my workflow. Anyone else facing this? Looking for quick fixes or settings to improve performance. Appreciate any help!58Views0likes1CommentHow to reset my camera uploads, I tried everything
Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7.3KViews1like95CommentsSaving image to Dropbox in iOS saves as URL
On iOS, when I save an image from Safari to the Dropbox app, before saving, the file name shows as a url file (and saves as a URL). I suspect today’s update causes this, because I was able to do this last night. I long press on an image > share > save to Dropbox At this step, the expanded menu recognizes the file type is an image, vs me mistaking it for an image, where it could be another file type. I’ve closed Safari, Dropbox and turned my phone off and on, issue persists.174Views0likes10CommentsI need to login and logout on my Android app in order to sync files
Anything I try to sync or upload from my mobile device stays in the queue until I log out and back in. Once I do, I can sync/upload again, but after a short time it stops. Cache has been cleared, latest updates installed, no locked folders. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how to fix. Thanks!63Views0likes10CommentsDropbox iOS problem: Unable to share more than 3 files at once.
After my Dropbox app was automatically updated recently (version 414.3), I can no longer send more than four files at once through another app. When I select four or fewer files, it works fine, but selecting more than four prevents me from tapping the send button. My friends who also use iPhones are experiencing the same issue, but Android devices don’t seem to have this problem. (I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro.) I have been using Dropbox for a long time. It worked I never had to change anything from my initial setup. On going from Windows 10 to 11 my camera uploads changed from .jpg to .heic. Most of my use for Dropbox is uploading photos from my iPhone. I have searched through the setting menus on the Desktop App, the taskbar as Dropbox is always open and the web. I can't find the thing. Where is this camera setting?71Views0likes11CommentsNo pop-up notification that I've added duplicates of a photo to Dropbox on iOS
Same here. On my iphone when I select several pictures and choose save to Dropbox, it would tell me if there was a duplicate. In the last day or so, it stopped giving me that warning and instead places multiple copies of the file with a (x) suffix on the filename.42Views0likes4Comments
