522 TopicsAfter the latest iOS mobile app update, my offline files have been re-syncing.
I upgraded to version 428.2 yesterday and now my Dropbox app always shows my offline files as queued for resync when I launch the app. I just tested it by syncing my files, then closing and relaunching the app and every entry in my offline list has that little blue circle with the white arrows. The files are still available so I guess it's not really re-downloading them? I'm hoping this is just a UI glitch.849Views0likes22CommentsUploading selection of photos from Camera Roll to Camera Uploads folder via the iPhone?
How do I re-upload just one year of photos from iPhone to Dropbox with Camera Uploads? I tried selecting and sending but the file name is wrong - I want it to have the year-month-date the way it does with Camera Uploads. Then I put them in an album and tried "selecting where youâd like to upload fromâ but nothing. Paused Sync and restarted but still nothing. Under âBack upâŠâ my only options are All Photos or one date. Seems like I should have more options like start and end date, or album(s).44Views0likes5CommentsRaw iOS files are uploading to Dropbox as .jpg via camera uploads.
Hi - I just saw a post in which April from Dropbox said that Apple Camera Raw transfers on camera upload (Iâve noticed mine donât) and then did simple test because I donât use iCloud instead preferring to use dropbox. And voila. Jpg uploaded. Only. No dng. Why is Dropbox so confident that it uploads raw when it clearly doesnât upload Apple raw despite the setting in camera uploads saying it will? Iâve been uploading now for years thinking it did when iCloud would have. Sigh. What a misclaim!311Views0likes2CommentsI'd like to reset camera uploads on my iOS mobile app.
Device iPhone 17 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 458.2.4 Syncing Status All done backing up Question or Issue I would like to have my Camera Uploads reset so that I can re-upload all photos from my phone taking advantage of the new Live Photos backup feature.Solved70Views0likes2CommentsI can't back up files from my external drive to my Dropbox mobile app via the Files app.
I cannot for the life of me sync my Dropbox to my iPad Pro. This is the only device I use to sync to Dropbox (by connecting an external drive to iPad Pro), so that i keep everything safe. I have been doing this for some time (at least one year) so itâs not a new system, but it has suddenly stopped syncing for the past month. This was before I even updated to 26.2 so I now have 26.2.1 and no change. I have tried: Clearing dropbox cache deleting Dropbox app, restarting iPad Pro and re-installing Dropbox app deleting preview app restarting iPad Pro again deleting Dropbox from files âlocationsâ and adding it back again Removing external drive and reconnecting it I can see files in Dropbox and can see drives in files and on my external drive, theyâre just not the same since they donât sync I have a tonnnnn of storage space on both devices (not even half full) and no other apps open so it is not from either of those causes either. It continues to have the exclamation with a circle around it and the bottom of screen says âsyncing with Dropbox pausedâ Any help you have figured out would be greatly appreciated!111Views0likes4CommentsFile request looks and acts differently
Device Android Question or Issue Within the past 6 months, has Dropbox changed the way users upload files through file requests? It seems way more difficult now. The screen acts like we are on a computer. I have to choose the option to upload from computer. Then I have to find my camera. Lastly, I have to actually keep the window open until all the files have downloaded. I do not remember having to do that before. I thought maybe I was in desktop view and that was the reason, but that did not make a difference. I am feeling it will very cumbersome to ask someone to upload pictures just to turn around and tell them to do it again because they have to keep their window open.Solved65Views0likes3Comments
