Reloading Apple photos from Dropbox folder
I had a major problem upgrading an iphone and bottom line lost all my UGC from 2020-2024 (corrupted back up). I have all the iphotos from that period in Dropbox. I want to put them back onto my phone. I tried synching them but what happened was they all went in with the current date and time and lost the meta data. Anyone have any idea how I get around this? It failed to recognize locations and dates.
Users don't get an email confirmation when uploading multiple files via file request.
I am trying to enable my users to upload files directly from their iPhones (Files apps) using a file request. When my users upload a single file (in response to clicking the file request link), they receive a confirmation message when complete. When they upload multiple files they receive no confirmation message. In both cases I, the account owner, receive messages indicating the users have submitted files, and the files are located the the correct DB folder associated with the file request. Thank you.
Allow file requests via mobile app (Android, iOS)
Seems like this has been recommended in the past but was closed fairly quickly. Would definitely like to have this available on mobile, it's a hassle when I'm trying to create these on a go, and your mobile website is really clunky. Absolutely hate trying to do this on mobile web and it seems kind of silly not have the option in the mobile app. Would love to see this implemented!
Uploading images/videos from iPhone resets the name to today's date instead of its creation date
Hello Dear Dropbox-Team, I find it very useful that Dropbox changes the names of my images and videos to this uniform format "[Foto|Video] DD.MM.YY, HH MM SS.[jpg|png|mp4|...]" when I upload them from my iPhone using the client. For example, my image named "IMG_1234" will be named "Foto 01.01.20, 12 59 55". This helps me a ton to organise my images/videos on a separate drive by sorting by name, since the date is embedded in the filename. Unfortunately, this does not work for all images. After uploading some of my images, the creation date is reset to today's date, which breaks this organisation system. I have not changed the metadata on these images, but it still happens. Is there a way to make the naming convention consistent, propably with a fix? Thank you in advance for answering my question 🙂
My Dropbox account is not syncing to my work PC or iPhone, why?
I am creating files on my home PC and saving them to Dropbox. When I try access them on my work PC they are not in the folder. My subscription is up to date and my syncing says all the files are up to date (on my work PC). The same problem is happening with my iPhone. So basically, none of my "boxes" are seeing one another????
