Is it possible to prevent long filenames being shortened from the end? My filenames need to have the whole name displayed, rather than having the end characters chopped off. These "end" characters identify the various versions of the same file. Many thanks, JohnF3.5KViews27likes13CommentsThe ability to add tags in the mobile app.
Iâm not sure why this has been suggested for years now and this basic functionality still isnât present in the app. This makes your automation really frustrating if I canât add tags on my phone when Iâm away from my computer and adding files from my phone.309Views7likes7Comments"Camera Uploads is disabled by your admin" error on iOS

Suddenly today (and for the first time ever that I can remember) the RENAME button in the iPhone app upload is dead (does not work). Help please - I need to rename before uploading anything to Dropbox. Thanks, amcofficeSolved467Views4likes17CommentsiPad Files app not showing Dropbox folders and how I managed to solve this.
In working with a new iPad, I discovered that the Files app was not correctly connecting with Dropbox. No Dropbox folders showed up either in the Files app or in any other app with an open feature that would normally have been able to access Dropbox files. Oddly, when I clicked âDropboxâ in the list, there were no folders but I could add a folder and that new folder showed up in Dropbox on other devices (and in the Dropbox app on the iPad)! So there was some connection but not much⊠This is not an issue Iâm experiencing on any of my other Apple devices (Mac or iOS). In talking with Apple support they had me delete the Files app, reboot the iPad, then reinstall âFiles.â I did that, but to no effect. They escalated me to a higher level of support but while I was waiting, I also deleted Dropbox and reinstalled it. That solved the problem! So, if you canât access your Dropbox folders and files in Files or in any of your other iPad apps, just delete and reinstall Dropboxâproblem solved (at least for me, this time!)5.8KViews4likes6CommentsiOS app: "Convert all to classic integration"
I have noticed that Dropbox for iOS (v358.2) has a new action in the settings. Under `Native Files.app integration`, there is a button titled "Convert all to classic integration". But it is not documented anywhere. What does it do? How is the "modern" integration different from the "classic" one?4.7KViews4likes3CommentsI need iPhone Live Photos to upload.
I cannot believe Dropbox does not support iPhone Live photos. Why??? I used Onedrive or Google Photos to upload my photos. and all of them supported live photos. I am always waiting for Dropbox to support it. Anyone can tell me when? I'm still using the Free plan until dropbox to support it.1.8KViews3likes2CommentsâCouldnât save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated. When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: âCouldnât save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. Thereâs not internet connection issue; Iâm connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didnât encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.Solved17KViews3likes119CommentsThe Dropbox app should have a dedicated backups tab
I hope this message finds you well. I primarily utilize Dropbox to back up my laptop files and maintain a clone copy of my external drive. The service has been invaluable in ensuring the safety and accessibility of my data. I wanted to suggest a feature that I believe would greatly enhance the user experience: the addition of a dedicated tab within the Dropbox app to view backups. Currently, this functionality is only available through the web interface. Having direct access to my backups via the app would significantly improve convenience, allowing me to quickly verify and manage my files wherever I am. I believe this feature would be beneficial not only to me but also to many other users who rely on Dropbox for comprehensive file backups. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I appreciate the continuous improvements you make to Dropbox, and I look forward to seeing how the platform evolves. Best regards, Jesus E.164Views2likes6Comments
