How to download an FMPro file without having a numerical suffix added to the filename?
Is there any way to download an FMPro file in Dropbox to my Filemaker Go app without having a numerical suffix added to the filename? I want to be able to view the latest version as it exists in Dropbox. I want the new version to overwrite the version currently in FM Go.

I don't believe this is a Filemaker issue. Dropbox is the app that is saving the file with the suffix. I can duplicate the behavior in Pages.

Thanks for the info, if it isn't possible to save the file on your device to then open it in that app without it creating a suffix, then it would be best to contact the developers to see if they have any solution for this behavior.

That is not the case. I cannot save the file into the Filemaker Go file system using the Files system. As far as I can tell, the Filemaker Go file system is not available in the File system.

So, you're not able to simply save the file as is into the iOS Files app in the 'On my iPhone' section, or the iCloud Drive section?

So, no, it doesn't add a suffix since it doesn't save the file at all.

I cannot complete the action because I cannot choose the Filemaker Go file system from Dropbox.

Thanks for the info, does this add a suffix to the end of the file name?

Save to Device > Save to Files
This option does not offer me access to Filemaker Go.

Hi Custom Support, just for clarification, when you export the file to the iOS Files app, do you get the number suffix there?

I would say that it is not "an Apple thing". I can run iMazing on my iMac and download files to my iPhone and it asks every time if I want to replace the existing file or keep both.
