I have a video file that I edited on my PC, then rendered to an mp4 file. I can open the rendered file (I use VLC), and it plays as edited. When I upload that mp4 file to Dropbox, the result has bl...

10 months agoHey carusoswi, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
How are you uploading the file to your Dropbox account?
Are you seeing this behavior when trying to preview the file in your account online, the mobile app, or locally in your Dropbox folder?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Thanks for your reply. Honestly, at this point, I have moved on with regard to that issue. I am not certain that the problem was not the result of my error in rendering my file. I am working with FOSS software, and just getting into it, so no problem with that file.
Again, thank you for your follow-up.

Thanks, Hannah. I appreciate that someone from Dropbox is actually reading these submissions. There is one other thing you might check for me. When I purchased this new laptop back in November of last year, I attempted to upload the contents of two memory cards from my DSLR which had languished there for some time. The upload was stopped when I received a message that my upload attempt was causing me to exceed my 2GB storage limit. The cards combined were less than 1GB in size combined. Upon checking, Drobox was reporting my used space at only 8GB. I could not understand this. Additionally, when I attempted to upgrade my plan, clicking to affect the upgrade returned a message that I did not qualify for the upgrade. Perhaps you could look into this and help me understand the apparent discrepancy. I have since deleted quite a number of old work files that I no longer need since I am now retired, so I do not need the upgrade at this time.
. . . One last item. I thought it would be good to have Dropbox on my android phone, so I went to the Play Store and clicked to add it to my device. It seems to have added another instance of the app to my phone, and, if I recall, set about charging my account (Google, perhaps) for an additional subscription.
The app no longer resides on my device, but I would like to make certain that there is no additional account open for which I might be charged.
I apologize for the length of this message, but would like to close by mentioning that I am a very long time user of Dropbox. It has served me well over the years.
Thank you again.
