Hi, I was recently asked to upload a large file set from our local storage to dropbox. We basically dragged and dropped into the dropbox app... however now that we are looking at the data, it has separated our multi page PDF files into a new PDF file, one for each page!!! Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to reverse this or at the very least keep it from happening again? HELP!!! Starred Photos is not working on the DropBox web site and I really need help! I have literally YEARS of work in uploading all of my family's photos and STARRING the ones I want to use for Shutterfly or other projects. But this year, I see that I cannot get the STARRED photos to load for a YEAR (or even a MONTH) to download them accurately - the photos appear and then disappear from the website. My husband opened up the "Inspector view" and took screenshots that show that there are hundreds of 429 requests to /starred/get_status-- so it seems like the website is just broken. After downloading the video is choppy and laggy. I tried it on my android phone, my laptop (browser: chrome , firefox) , and via the Laptop app. I tried viewing the clip in my phone , with vlc and the standard windows 10 media player. Since its a mov file i tried converting it to mp4 first which didnt work as well. if i open the dropbox link where the clips are uploaded they are not choppy. I dont know what to try anymore. I'm not looking to actually edit the PDF, simply rotate the view so I don't have to turn my head sideways to look at a table that is printed landscape. Hi there, I'm unable to access dropbox.com on my laptop, which is connected to my home WiFi. I have tried various browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) to no avail. I don't have a problem accessing the website on my phone, which is also connected to my home network, so I reckon that rules out a network issue. The error I get on Chrome says: "This website can't be reached. www.dropbox.com refused to connect. ERR_CONNECTION_Refuses" I've searched the forum but none of the suggestions have helped. I have a shared folder with my business partner that we upload videos of property walkthroughs in. We can watch these videos from our phone, but when we try to open them up a computer the audio will play but the screen is black. I don't need this feature, I don't want it, and it has contributed to me having to use an external storage device. This seems like a simple enough task but I can't figure out how to view the number of anything in a folder. For example, how many of my images have transferred from my phone to my dropbox account? What's the difference between the "photos" folder in the left hand menu (web version) vs "camera upload" folder on the app? I can see in the "camera upload" folder I have 4922 files. It doesn't distinguish between photos or videos. This number is useless to me unless I know the origin of the photos. I know I don't have 4922 photos on my phone. I have 8800 photos in my iCloud and 396 videos in my iCloud. On my phone, it says my photos are about 3G. Maybe I'm asking too much, I used to have Box and I can see the number of items in a folder so I can see if what I'm uploading is matching. Why is this so hard? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have my own dropbox but independently, for work things, I been given access to files and folders in various other people's dropboxes recently but for some reason I get an error msg and can't access them. These are open files to everyone and it is not just one time / company - it's happening with courses I have paid for, with press media files that are available just generally, people who send me general links to files - I always get this error: Error Something went wrong. I have checked the installer, checked my own dropbox syncs etc. My own files are fine and so I can't see the issue. I have been using Dropbox for years to share Keynote files to another computer. This last time my shared file did not include the background images on my slides. (However, they were visible on the thumbnails, just not on the main viewing section.). The slides were unusable as there was no contrast between the dark grey slide and the text. What I created had good contrast and was very readable. This happened with 2 different computers on 2 different days with the same file. Whey did this happen and how can I avoid it in the future. I had no way of knowing there was a problem until I got to church to run the slide for worship! I was able to quickly work around the problem. But all my work was wasted and I will not be there every time to correct the issue on the fly. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you.135Views0likes3Comments
