Device (iPhone 14 Pro Max) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (18.6.2) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (450.2.2) Question or Issue We use Dropbox for our choir to store backing tracks and music scores. When we open an audio file, it plays automatically. Is there a way to stop the auto play. We need to use this on our phone for when we sing outdoors or in aged care facilities as we don't have room for a computer. I have tried turning the loop function off, but it is off on all files already. I don't want to have to use a desktop version. I just want the ability to use the app but to be able to turn off auto play in the settings. I can see that someone else had this issue 7 years ago and it looks like it has still not been fixed. Can I please vote for an auto play off button, as an update?25Views0likes1CommentFile names not appearing in ‘Recents’
I am using the online version of Dropbox. It has been working well but recently when using the Recents tab the list displays a list of images, but the file names that contain the images are missing. I can find the files and download from All Files but I like the convenience of the Recents tab. I am on Windows 7 which I know is outdated but it has been working fine until now.156Views0likes16CommentsI shared a video with someone else, but they can only preview the first two hours.
Device (Acer Nitro 5) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Syncing Status ("Up to date") Question or Issue I linked a large mp4 video file (2:04:00, 8.6 GB) and the recipient tells me that it stopped at 2:00:08. The 8.6 GB is well under the file size limit, but is there a time limit on viewing? Is there something else I should be doing? I have it set up in file manager for view only and not to be downloaded.Solved101Views0likes5CommentsMy PDF additions in preview mode (via the macOS desktop app) don't appear on the web.
I am running MacOS Tahoe 26.1 on a MacBook Pro For work, I often use the preview function in finder to type directly onto a PDF. I thought this was going fine -- the edits are saved and viewable in finder, even for people on other devices -- until I looked at the PDFs I've been editing on the web version of Dropbox. This is a problem in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. The PDFs, other than the information scanned in the photocopier, are blank. I have made sure to clear the dropbox cache, resinstall the dropbox app, restart my computer, verified that all my files are available offline and I have permission to edit them. Everything, according to the Dropbox app, is synced and up to date. What am I doing wrong?Solved81Views0likes4CommentsThe workspace on the web is too small. How can I make the top banners smaller?
Device Dell Inspiron Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 Chrome Version 142.0.7444.59 (Official Build) (64-bit) Question or Issue How can I make the workspace on Dropbox website bigger and/or remove or minimize the increasingly bigger banners info at the top. I'd like to be able to see more than one row of photos at a time in Grid View. Thank you!71Views0likes2CommentsCannot play offline .mp3 files on Android
This is related to Dropbox on three different android tablets, 2 Samsung, one other Android versions 14 and 15. Dropbox is the latest version from Play Store mp3 files are played in the Dropbox default mp3 player when clicked. This works correctly for mp3 files in the cloud However: - Make the mp3 files available off line and the default player wont play the file. The player opens, but the 'play' button is ineffective and the music duration box shows --/--. The same offline files can be played with third party apps using the "Open With" dialog . This is a new problem as of Oct 27th 2025. Off line files have always played correctly up to now I prefer to use the default player as it has the features I like. Hi. I've had to move all my files to my local/internal hard drive and use symlinks within dropbox to keep them backed up but now i cant access any of them remotely. The reason for moving them is because it was causing me all sorts of issues when running the files directly from within dropbox / file provider. Does anyone know a way of symlinks being possible to view within the iOS app or website? Thanks83Views0likes3CommentsAI Search for near match floor plan
