504 (Gateway timeout) when restoring file

I have version history enabled, and have 9 versions of a file I worked on since last night.
I'm trying to restore the penultimate version (the most recent one that's not the current one) by using Version History on the website, and clicking Restore next to the file details.
The website thinks for a while (while waiting for bolt.dropbox.com), then gives me a 504 error (which I have since discovered is a Gateway Timeout).
"Error (504)

Something went wrong. Don't worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our Help Center and forums for help, or head back to home."
this obviously isn't helpful, and there are no posts in the help center or forums that have "504" and associated with restoring version history.

Hi there, Pheng, thanks for posting here!

It might sound trivial, but have you tried using a different browser altogether -or an incognito tab on your current browser-, in order to restore your content? If not, can you give it a go, and let me know if you get the same results then?

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

I am having the same issue today on two computers, three browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), and an incognito tab in Chrome.

Hi Pheng, could you attach a screenshot showing the error you're getting, while hiding any personal info?
