Automation deleting most of the name of a file

I have set up an automation that first renames and then moves files from a folders subfolder. The renaming is supposed to just add "_note" to the file name. The problem is that in addition to adding _note, it removes most of the file name and all my files get the name "ai_note" instead of the original "something. something_ai"

Here is the file history showing that the start of the file name was removed and replaced by just the last word (AI).

I'm using an android app to upload them. Autosync so it may be connected to that app. However, when I tried without appending "_note" everything worked as expected.

Another question regarding this, are these files added by you manually in the Dropbox desktop application or uploading to the web, or are these files added automatically via a File Request?

I think it was related to the renaming part (adding _note to the file name). I removed it (since you reminded me that every file had the "AI"-part anyway and started moving files without renaming. Now it seems to work (fingers crossed).

Do all of the initial files have _AI.txt as the ending part of the filename?
I used the same automation on a sample folder, and didn't experience the same issue you had.
Do you have any other automations on that folder, or the parent folder?
