Question or Issue I'm a pro photographer and I use dropbox to deliver photos to my clients. I number each photo (i.e. "Smith-1, Smith-2, Smith-3, etc...). Dropbox used to share them in order (lowest number to highest) now they share in reverse order (highest number to lowest). I want to change this back to the way it was but I'm having no luck figuring it out. Any help??Solved95Views0likes5CommentsHow can I move a shared folder I don't own out of my root directory?
I have clicked on a link to see a shared folder for which I have editing privilege. The folder is in my dropbox in the root directory, but it is no use to me there, I need it in another place in the directory structure. I cannot see how to move it, I can move the directories inside the main folder, but then it will disappear form the other peoples dropbox. I do not mind having two copies of it all as I have the space, but need to find a way to either move the main directory or the sub directory's to a different location within my dropbox without causing an issue to the person who shared with me and keep two way link enabled. I am doing this online in the web application, I do not use the desktop application, Thank you79Views0likes4CommentsSearch for single words and copy sentences in documents from the Backup page
I suggest to be able to search for single words and copy sentences directly from Word documents on the Backup site, www.dropbox.com/backup/all from a mobile phone. This is already possible from the Backup site through the web browser of a PC.52Views0likes1CommentSome of my files appear as 0 bytes and I can't open them/restore a previous version.
Hello All, Starting sometime this week, a large number of files in one of my folders are showing as "0 bytes" and I obviously cannot read them. I'm synchronising the folder with my mac, and thought maybe my mac corrupted the files? (I definitely did not use those files in the past months). I thought to 'recover' them from the dropbox.com site by going to "Version History" for each file but when I click on that I get to an error page: Error Something went wrong. Don’t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our help center and forums for help, or head back to home. So I am also not sure how to recover these files? Very strange147Views0likes7CommentsSearching IPTC keywords on the website: Why does Dropbox only kinda work?
Trying to use DB to store photos that have IPTC keywords applied to them. All information I find seems to say this should work, but when I do a search for a keyword only a few of the images with that keyword end up showing as search results. (Doing this via a browser window with Mac Safari) Anyone have experience with this? Why does this only kinda work? It doesn't make sense to me and is very frustrating! Am I doing something wrong?56Views0likes2CommentsHow can I find what files I've stored on my Dropbox account to delete them and free up space?
Question or Issue Hi I have a similar issue to Thingy. I have tried to troubleshoot following all suggestions provided in this suggestion string but cannot even identify what, if anything, I have stored in the Drive. When I access it this is the screen Can someone please direct me to where I identify what I have in the Drive so I can identify what I can delete to fill up space. Frankly, I cannot recall I actually have anything. Thanks ChezzieSolved187Views0likes4CommentsIt should be possible to drill down to a folder before enabling restoring a deleted file.
in order to restore a deleted file, you first have to go to the main page and click 'deleted files' which then scans your master folder. This is not beneficial and it takes a long time. - It would be better to be able to drill down to a sub folder which is where the deleted file lived and then invoke the scan, Only makes sense.74Views0likes5Comments
