Can't use automation to auto-add tags to files in a folder
The Dropbox tags help page indicates you can use the automation feature to auto-add tags to files in a folder. However, this option is not present in the automation task list. I tried adding it as instructed to a newly created folder, and also tried adding the automation rule to an already created folder. Neither worked. I hope this feature didn't get removed because it would be really helpful to organize all of my photos.
Talking further with Dropbox staff via email, as of Sept 2023 the automated tagging feature is only available to Dropbox Professional, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise plans.
This list is available on this page:
https://help.dropbox.com/organize/dropbox-automations
I thought I was on Standard or Advanced but turns out I'm on the "Plus" plan which is not supported.

Hi gem0303, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The tag feature should still be visible in the folder automations.
Could you attach a screenshot showing the automations options you get when on a new folder?
This will help me to assist further!

It's present in the list for me, both when creating a new automated folder and when adding automation to an existing folder.
I tried adding it as instructed to a newly created folder, and also tried adding the automation rule to an already created folder. Neither worked.Working fine here. I tested it on a new automated folder and an existing folder that I added a new automation to, and both worked as expected.
Can you take some screenshots that show the option missing?

Screenshots below. I get the same list of options whether I create a new folder and add automation, click "Organize > Add automation", or click "... > Add automation". I'm on the latest version of Chrome (Version 115.0.5790.110) on Windows 11 and have emptied cache and done a hard reload on the page.

Another screenshot showing the available options on the Dropbox Automations page.

Are you seeing this on all folders you create? Are they private or shared folders?

Yes, I get the same list of options on any new folder I create, whether it's in the main Dropbox directory or a subfolder. All of the folders are private.

I just tested in Chrome and see the same options I posted earlier. The only difference is that I'm on Windows 10, not 11. I'll try again from home on a Windows 11 box.

Hey gem0303, sorry to jump in here, but could you try an incognito window or another browser with no plugins or extensions running and let us know if this persists?

I signed in on a Chrome incognito plan and also on Firefox; list of automation options was the same (none for tags) whether I created a new folder or tried to add to existing folder.
The only other program I have linked up to Dropbox is Goodsync for keeping files synced between my desktop PC and Dropbox.

I just tested on a Windows 11 box with Edge, Chrome and Firefox, and I was able to see the Tags option on all three, so it would seem to be something specific to you or your machine.
