Changes to Microsoft files aren't saved

Hello. I have Excel and Word files saved in Dropbox, just basic files, and edits I make to the files are not saving when I open the file later. Any ideas or assistance? Thanks!!!

Thanks for following up, Brian! Can you also send me a full screenshot of the options you mention, so that I can have a visual and guide you from there?

Happy to - but do you have an email or some other sources so I'm not showing all my files on the community website?

    Hey BrianSFG - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that we don't need any personal information shown in your screenshot, just the options you get so feel free to remove any information you don't like to be shown publicly. 

     

    While we're at it, can you please clarify if you're running the Dropbox desktop app as well on your computer? If so,  what is its exact status and version as shown in your system tray?
