I'm missing information from a file and it's not in the version history - can I get it back?
Hi, Please can someone help? I'm missing 4 months of information in one of my excel files. Information from June 2025 to 6 October 2025 …… I need to restore all the information up until the 6 October 2025. I've looked at all the version history files and they all the same with missing information for 4 months .... Is there any other way to find this information ... It's extremely valuable. See attached ..... They all have the same information but we add to this file daily .... I don't know what has happened and how to get the information back ? Thanks
Unable to edit Microsoft files online
Until a few days ago, I was able to edit Microsoft files (word, excel) online. Now the page loads with a white screen. I am on a free account. I found a thread that says only Business account holder are able to edit Microsoft files online, but this thread is +6 years old. Has the the terms and conditions changed as of recent?? What I have tried to fix this is use Edge, Chrome browsers and clear my cache to no available.
How can I edit my Microsoft Excel files directly from the desktop app and not the website?
Hello, I am having quite the frustrating issue with my dropbox excel files not displaying on my firefox downloads. They are opening, but seemingly NOT from my desktop app, but rather the dropbox.com website, even though I have the correct folders all linked to my computer. The excel files from my dropbox app was always set to be able to edit, however those coming from dropbox.com have macros and will not let me edit the sheet (and to be clear, I have done everything known to mankind with the trust center settings on excel to try and enable the macros)...I have set select sync files to be 'online only' to help save hard drive space. One user can't open/edit shared Excel files via her desktop app.
Have a user that started having issues with opening shared Excel files 3 days ago. Goes to shared folder clicks to open file it pops up on screen but never allows access. Has a blue circle a if file is still opening. I have uninstalled /reinstalled Dropbox and Office with no luck. I did find yesterday afternoon if I go to task manager and end Dropbox she can then access file. Was sent message this morning of having issue again. Same procedure in task manager and she can ope/edit files.My Excel updates are missing and, after sharing a link, it redirects users to the wrong folder.
24hrs ago i was working on my excel sheet which i saved. I created a new folder also and moved some documents in the folder. 24hrs later. i go on another of my devices and those new documents and last version of my excel sheet is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, my dropbox icon shows i am up to date!! The worst that happened an hour ago, i created a link to a new folder that had documents to share to a group and the group members instead are having access to another folder totally not related! Everything is looking like its a film trick going on! Kindly inform if there is an ongoing issue?
