Deleting a Folder or File ..... from DropBox
After confirming that I wished to DELETE a file from DropBox before ADDING an updated file>>>>
DropBox asked if I wanted the File to be Deleted from EVERYWHERE.
Not sure what the question meant.
I have the previous version still on my laptop AND I do not wish that version to be deleted.
If the question is about everywhere within DropBox.... my answer is YES.
Please Advise. PUZZLED
Hi BConnell10
It means it will delete from all Dropbox connected files/folders. So, if that folder is in Dropbox on any device it will be removed. If it isnt then it wont 🙂

It means "Do you want to delete this file from your Dropbox folder, which will delete it from the Dropbox folder on all devices linked to your account?" It will not (and cannot) delete the file from locations outside of Dropbox.
