Dropbox makes sure that you've got your files availble and up to date with syncing.
When you place a file in your account and edit it, that file will be available and up to date on any other device you've connected and signed in to.
This also means that you don't need to set is as a network or a drive, as it's purpose is to sync content from one device to another.
