I cannot view or delete files via: - dropbox.com/home - /deleted_files - mobile app - desktop app I am not asking for more storage at the moment. Device TCL NxtPaper 14 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Android 14 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 454.2.2 Syncing Status Up To Date Question or Issue I am using Dropbox on my TCL NxtPaper 14, along with the app Nutrient PDF Viewer Pro to edit and annotate PDFs on Dropbox. Whenever I use the app, it corrupts the PDF on Dropbox. Editing PDFs on other cloud services with the same app does not give me any issues.221Views0likes10CommentsMove or copy photos from iPhone or iCloud to Dropbox
I’m using the latest iOS 12 release, and the latest version of the Dropbox iOS app, on my iPhone X. I have over 7,000 photos on my iPhone; they are also synced to my iCloud. (The volume consists of pretty much every photo I’ve ever had on an iPhone, beginning with an iPhone 4S.) Having this number of photos on my iPhone has been making my iPhone quite sluggish. I tried using the Dropbox iOS app’s built-in feature to copy or move the photos to one of my Dropbox folders; but, on each attempt, the Dropbox iOS app hangs, after moving anywhere from few hundred to a couple of thousand photos. I then opened the iCloud app in Windows 10, intending to copy the photos en masse to Dropbox, then, once the move was confirmed, erase the photos from my iCloud. (I also tried this through accessing my iCloud via Google Chrome.) I can’t seem to select more than 1 photo at a time, in my iCloud photos area. As you can imagine, selecting over 7,000 photos, one at a time, is not feasible. Thank u VERY much, peeps, for any help with this! 🙂Solved45KViews4likes4CommentsHow to select all files at once in Dropbox iOS/iPadOS app ?
Inside a folder where I have multiple files, I see a select icon on the upper right corner of screen but when I tapped I don't see any select all button. This means I have to tick on every single file until the end. It is an unforgiven painful. Tap and slide on files to select multiple files (like in Files/Photos stock App) also does not work. Can't believe Dropbox Team overlooks such a very basic fucntion. Anyone knows how to ?6.7KViews0likes3CommentsEntering info on a new text file scrolls to the bottom of the page on my Android. Can I stop it?
When entering data into a new text file the screen automatically scrolls to the bottom of the page and I have to manually go to the top again to enter data but after a few seconds it go to the bottom again. Very annoying. It just started this a few months ago. I tried deleting the app on my Android device and reinstalling and signing in. No luck. Any suggestions?Solved15KViews1like16CommentsI can't edit Excel spreadsheets on my Dropbox mobile app (Android 13).
For the last 3-4 months I have not been able to edit, delete or add Dropbox entries (an Excel spreadsheet) on my Android phone app (Version 13). The app always asks me to sign into Microsoft. When I do I end up in Excel, not Dropbox, with not the Dropbox file. I am signed into my Dropbox account. I can see/read the spreadsheet. When I select the edit button I get sent to Microsoft Office. Ever since I started using Dropbox on my phone (many, many years) I have always been able to update my passwords on the Excel Dropbox spreadsheet. I can edit on my computer and the data will sync with my phone app. I used to be able to access the edit function on my phone, which would then sync to the Dropbox on my PC. Does anyone have any suggestions, as to what I am doing wrong? Thank you, in advance.181Views0likes2CommentsI have edit access on an Excel file but I can't save my changes through the Dropbox Android app
Device Motorola g54 5g Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Android 15 Question or Issue I can open an excel file with sheets that has been shared with editing access. I can open to edit and can make changes. When I try to save these I get to options. To device or Google's cloud. Doing neither option seems to save the changes in the administrator's copy. What have I done wrong?Solved170Views0likes5CommentsRenaming files on the Android app adds a "-1" to the filename and removes their extension.
Device Lenovo Tab P12 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Android 15 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) 440.2.4 When I try to rename a file, I see a second line which adds "-1" to my new file, doesn't matter what I do, I cannot get rid of it. Not only it does not make sense, but it has corrupted so many of my files as very often it rewrites also the extension, so when trying to rename documnet.pdf, it will rename it either document-1.pdf or even worse to document-1 NO EXTENSION. Then I have to download the file to my tablet, open it via my local file explorer, add ".pdf" extension and then I can use it. Today I upload a WORKING pdf file to dropbox, and without renaming it, it removed the extension, so I was unable to send it via email or whatsapp to other people, I couldn't do anything with it, and the worst thing is that I cannot do such an easy job as rewriting the FULL name of the file whatsoever as this app for a very strange reason doesn't allow rewriting the extensions for me I know I am not the only one, because recently a pdf file was shared in a group chat of my colleagues and nobody was able to open it after downloading it (whole thing was outside dropbox), when I donwloaded it it was called "file.-1" , I asked the person if she uses dropbox and she confirmed, but she didn't know that your program can corrupt our files.Solved453Views0likes11CommentsCan't edit Microsoft files on iPhone (iOS 18)
I can no longer (just since a few days) edit any files from Microsoft (.xlsx, .docx or .pptx) on my iPhone (14 with iOS18). I can only read them. I do subscribe on Microsoft 365 and I have always been able to open and edit Microsoft files from my phone. It works fine on PC. Also If I copy the file from Dropbox to OneDrive (on the PC), everything works fine even from the phone when opened from OneDrive. When clicking on the file in Dropbox asking for example to open in Excel, I get the answer that the file is stored on a Server which is not supported Please HelpSolved1KViews1like17Comments
