Files missing from Dropbox that I didn't delete. How can I recover them?
I just checked my dropbox (Dropbox basic) after months (maybe a year or two?) of not using it. It was at it's capacity so I started a new dropbox with a different email and more or less just stopped ...

As Mark stated, if a Dropbox account hasn't been accessed for over 12 months, then it would be deactivated due to inactivity.
If you have any old desktop devices which previously synced to that old account, then they might still contain the data on that account on the machine.
