Files with a particular extension are missing

Files with a particular extension (".std") are missing from all the folders without any prompt. Any idea how to recover these files? Is this because dropbox considered it malware or something?

Hi there EMEC - thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear about your missing files.

How did you upload those files in the first place?

Also, can you see any signs of those files on our website, be it your homepage, the deleted files page or the events page?

Let me know more and we'll take it from there.

Dear @walter Thank you for your response.

I have checked all of the above and no signs of the file at all. this is not the case for a particulars file bu the case for all the file with this extension.

Did you ever see them on the website?

No, actually I mapped the drive to my computer and copied the files into it. Initially, the files showed a green tick implying the file had been synced. but now all the files are missing.

I haven't changed any of the default settings till now. I checked the backup page too but nothing there. just this particular file that I mentioned is missing.

Hi EMEC, if you checked your events page and you didn't see any signs of this file, then it's most likely either been permanently deleted, or it was never added to your Dropbox account.

However, it's a bit weird that you saw the green check there. Can I send you an email, in order for us to have a closer look into this?
