How do I delete or remove Vault?
I created a Vault with a pin and am able to use it... I just don't want it. How can I remove it from my Dropbox? It's cluttering up my file list.

I have the same question. It seems odd to me that this isn't a simple How-To, rather than Dropbox having to give personalized support to simply remove an empty vault.

Here’s why Dropbox won’t answer this on an open forum. I contacted support today (2 different times). It seems, you can CREATE a vault - but you can’t DELETE a vault. What a lame attempt to try to get more people using it. We’re stuck with it, for now.

Can I please have my VAULT deleted as well?
It's useless to me and I hate to have this pointless thing in my carefully crafted file structure.

I emailed them and they pretty much said I can't delete the "Vault" folder thingy.
I'm sure it's a great feature, I just personally have no use for it and it is a huge eyesore to my Overview page. Clutters my folder structure.
Please Dropbox, create a way where we can delete or even move the "Vault" folder.
Thank you,

Actually it's an atrociously bad feature that wasn't thought through prior to mass deployment to end users. Once unlocked the vault "closes" (locks, logs out) on its own after a very brief time, thus breaking your connection to any files you have open inside vault. This forces you to constantly log back into the vault over and over, until ultimately vault crashes or the sync ultimately breaks (which happens to me every single time on both Windows 10, Android 8.x, and Android 10). If you make changes to a document after the vault is automatically locked (or a crash happens), a second copy of the file will be created OUTSIDE the vault. Not secure! Then you have to go back and manually sync your changes to the original file that was in the vault. Pretty much any real work becomes impossible with this scenario. Maybe the feature is useful for something, but I can't find one. Then of course you can't delete the vault after it's enabled. Garbage. OneDrive is pretty stable now. May switch back to that.

Thanks for your feedback on this, everyone.
The team is working on making the Dropbox Vault deletable in the future, but there isn't a specific timeline we can share with you right now.
We will make sure to let you all know though when there's more information available.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to get back to us. Thanks again!

there has to be a way to get my files out of the "vault"? I am trying to copy it to my desktop but it wont let me; i also tried to remove the file, but it wont let me. It is useless because I need the files to continue working on those files!

How this is still a thing is beyond my comprehension. I don't want to see the vault, why in the world should that be undeleteable!
