Is it possible to move and consolidate files from individual folders?

Hi.  Is there a way to automate moving files from individual folders so that all files are consolidated under one folder?  In other words, I have, say, 100 folders, each containing only 1 file.  I want to move each of these individual files to one folder, so that the one folder contains 100 files.

Is this something MoveBot can do?  Any suggestions?  TIA.

Jim

There's nothing in Dropbox that can do that but you can probably do it easily if you're syncing all of those folders to your computer. If so, you can just do a search of your local Dropbox folder for all files, select just the files from those folders, then drag and drop or cut and paste them into a the new folder.

That's a third-party service so you'd have to ask them, though I believe that service is more about moving files between different cloud platforms while maintaining the folder structure.

Hi bfingers, thanks for contacting us!

We do have the automation feature which is currently available for all plans on the Dropbox site.

However, there isn't an option to move files from one folder or another in the way that you're looking for.

As Rich said, if you're looking at a third party service, they might be able to assist further on this matter.
