recover permanently deleted files

hello this is Ahmed from Mahd commercial business,

we have files that were permanently deleted few hours ago, and it is affecting our business. we are currently trying to locate these files at any of our devices, but unfortunately we were not able to locate them anywhere.

we wish for our files to be restored so please see us through the process of doing so.

best regards, Mahd team.

  • Hi mahd groub

I'm afraid there is no way, at all, to do this via Dropbox - files that are permanently deleted are exactly that permanently deleted with no chance of recovery. The only way of getting these back is on a device that has not yet sync'd to Dropbox (employee laptop maybe?) OR your company backups.

I made a little video for my sisters for Valentine's Day in 2018. Was efficiently cleaning out Dropbox files this past week, then permanently deleting the trash, and it must have been in among those deletions. Help! I'll never be able to recreate this again, and it is simply sentimental. Hope someone can help. Dropbox says they keep deleted files for a Basic Plan for 30 days.

Deleted files are recoverable for 30 days. Permanently deleted files are deleted... permanently. I'm afraid there's no way to recover it.

Hello, how can I recover deleted files if I deleted them even from the deleted files folder?

You can't. Once a file has been permanently deleted, there's no way to recover it.

thank you, what if you improve the dropbox plus plan? Will this not make it possible to restore files?

No. Because the files have been permanently removed. So its exactly that - they have been purged from the Dropbox systems. They are not recoverable I'm afraid. At all.
