Why can't I sort files by creation date?

Hi Poppy17, thanks for posting on the Dropbox site!
There previously wasnât an option to view items by creation date, it has always been âModifiedâ on the site and desktop app.
Are you perhaps referring to your files in the Dropbox folder in Explorer/Finder? Those do provide the option to view files in by Creation date.

Hi ajaybb, there isn't a method to sort by creation date on the Dropbox site, only by the modification date.
However, if you're referring to Explorer/Finder, then it should be possible in the OS by adding or sorting that Creation date column there.

As others have said the modified date is irrelevant when managing older photos because the goals is to sort by when they were originally taken. Are there plans to add this feature in the roadmap?
