Cannot see shared Dropbox paper documents on Dropbox Paper webpage
Dear Community,
Some other guys shared some Dropbox Paper folders with me. I could enter the folder and edit the Paper files through 'notifications' on the upper right of the Dropbox webpage. However, if I go to my Dropbox Paper webpage, I could not see any of the shared Paper files. This seems to happen for my account because when I change a computer or change a browser, I still cannot see the files. But for the other people sharing the folders, they could see the files on their webpage and directly enter it.
This is a bit of a problem because if I want to find a file that was shared to me a long time ago, it is difficult to find it through 'notifications', so I wonder how could I fix this problem.
Many thanks!!!

Hey Jingyi51, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community!
I'd like you to follow the steps below, to see if perhaps your account has been updated to the new release of Dropbox Paper.
- Log in to dropbox.com
- Click 'Create'
- Hover over 'Document'
If you do see 'Dropbox Paper' in the list of document types, then you’re using the new new release.
This would explain why you don't see your docs in the place they used to be.
Your existing Paper docs should show up on dropbox.com now.
Paper docs that you own will be placed in a folder called Migrated Paper Docs.
Let me know what you find.

Thanks a lot for replying! I tried what you said and found there is 'Dropbox Paper' in the list of document types. However, the shared Paper folders are neither on dropbox.com nor Dropbox Paper.
If I create a Dropbox Paper, I could see it on both dropbox.com and Dropbox Paper, but with the shared Paper folders, it is not the case.
When I enter these shared Paper folders, I could see the Paper documents and on the left side there is the 'Paper' button. But if I click the 'Paper' button which leads me to the Paper webpage, I would see none of the shared folders.😭

Thanks for keeping me updated, Jingyi51.
If you search for the names of those Paper docs through your search bar on dropbox.com, do you get any results?

Yes, I could get them by searching.

Check shared or migrated paper docs on dropbox.com

Perfect, Jingyi51! If you can search for them, it means they're somewhere in the account, so I'll agree with Elias_w here; make sure to check your migrated Paper docs folder.
Also, on the search page, if you click on the "..." (ellipsis) button next to the doc you searched for, then click on "Open" and then "go to folder", it should take you to the folder the doc is in.
I hope this helps!

Eh...Sorry but could you show me where can I find the migrated Paper docs folder on dropbox.com please, I don't see them on the webpage.
And for the second method, there is no "..." for those Paper docs shared by others, only for the docs that are created by my own there are "..." buttons.

Hi Jingyi51, it should be in the default folder on your Dropbox account. This link might work when you're signed into your account.
If you're not seeing anything there, or you're getting an error, could you try searching for the Paper docs manually in the search bar?

Alright...I tried this link and it say There isn't a migrated folder, and it sents me back to dropbox homepage. Seems like there isn't a way to find the shared docs other than the search bar. I'll use the search bar then, thanks a lot though!!
