How can I make my files available offline on the desktop app?

If the Dropbox application works correctly on your computer, you should be able to switch a file to "available offline", by right-clicking on it in your Dropbox folder and choosing the "make available offline" option.
Let me know if it works or if you have any issues.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the options you see on your end, as a first step?
Also, what is your computer's OS version and the Dropbox version you have installed?
You can see the latter, by hovering over your Dropbox icon.
