How do notifications work for shared folders?

Trying to understand what actions result in user notifications.   If I unshare a folder with a user, will the user be notified?  How email, text msg, etc?   What if I do not unshare the folde...

    Hey BDG22039, welcome to the Dropbox Community. 

     

    In general, users aren't notified upon unsharing a folder or if you change their edit/view-only permissions. 

     

    Depending on their notification settings though, they may receive a weekly digest of the activity in shared folders that they are a member of.
